Broncofan
Man this is welcome news. Kubiak did decent work last year with Minnesota - the criticism they were too run heavy at times was due to direct orders from Mike Zimmer (he confirmed b4 his firing). KK’s been the obvious choice to take over O calling duties for Hackett. Hopefully we see more diversity in today’s play calling. Even without Jeudy & Hamler with our OL & RB establishing the pass game still the way to go against the Raiders D. On D being able to counter the Raiders 6 man OL rush game was our biggest weakness last time. We broke when the O couldn’t stay on the field in the 2H. Griff254
Wouldn’t it have made sense to give up play calling duties during the bye week? I hope it works it just feels like the timing is off.
AnAngryAmerican
Who knows if Kubiak will be better but I doubt he can do worse. Broncos 17, McRaiders

The reality is Hackett giving up play calling is a death knell to his future - upgrading the O was his calling card. But it’s also the last thing he can do to save his job here (almost certainly too little too late). This happens to help the team so no argument but from a wide lens it shows how little Hackett himself actually brings to the table. Broncofan
For the OL it would make a massive diff to have Glasgow back at C. As for the T I’d hope we’d see help directed on Crosby - a 2nd TE (not Dulcich) or RB chipping to help our T’s out on Crosby. Literally no one else on LV has been able to generate pressure. Chandler Jomes has struggled a ton looks like he’s in the decline phase. If the Raiders supporting cast creates pass rush problems for us it’s a massive red flag for our ROS chances in any game. Something to watch for. As for the pass catchers - need a big game from Dulcich and Sutton but there has to be a 3rd guy. Maybe it’s Chase Edmonds, maybe it’s Hinton or Vigil. But in RZ packages I do wonder if we’ll see Brandon Johnson play more. Rooting for them all obv.

If it fails, fire all of them except Evero.

Well if they decide to can him before the season is over at least they have play callers already established for capers

Dbrog24
Wait so now Hackett doesn't call the offense, defense, or game management? Has that ever happened before in the NFL? Lol
Broncofan
Targets Dulcich first play. Sutton 2nd pass. Now Hinton. Ball out in less than 2 secs, less than 3 steps with shotgun. It's AMAZING this wasn't mentioned in previous games..... *Cough* Edited November 20, 2022 by Broncofan
jsthomp2007
Umm...thanks Klint. Maybe they can name a city in the Denver area called Kubiak. I'd move there. Maybe Loveland, CO? Then folks wouldn't get Loveland Ski Resort confused with the town.
AKRNA
Wow! An actual 92 yard drive, 5 first downs, 3:30 off the clock and ending with a TD. Add the fact it was our first possession, I'm overwhelmed..
