Weird the stuff that both Coach and AD Gladchuk have said over the past day or so.

navy clearly has restrictions the other service academies don’t have, and they also are all equally affected by the transfer portal being a one way street and not being able to participate in NIL.

however, the biggest thing to me is that, playing in a conference, where you play half of your opponents every year, they get to plan to face the triple option and do much more homework on it than they would be able to do otherwise. I definitely think the move to a conference hurt.

Moreso than that, IMO, is that the NCAA banned cut blocking on the perimeter, so that advantage from their smaller wingbacks who used to put on a clinic doing it, now cannot and that attack isn't nearly as lethal on the perimeter as it used to be/was designed to be.

Navy promoting Brian Newberry to head coach and Mississippi State removed the interim tag from Zach Arnett so all FBS coaching slots are filled at the moment.
