Sign up now for a fun Office themed mafia game!

Memes welcome.

Have fun with it!

There's going to be a small twist in some gameplay dynamics so check the rules post. The tl;dr on this is that you need to weigh the balance of being productive at work so the bad CEOs cant fire more people, or being less productive and saving up the energy for power moves instead.

Looking for 21 players and will start after Thanksgiving

The plot of this game is to save the Scranton Branch from the upper level Dunder Mifflin management trying to shut it down.

The town faction is called Scranton employees.

The mafia faction is called Dunder Mifflin executives

Special gameplay mechanics:

Using town power roles requires productivity percentage points; see below.

Using town power roles:
~ during each day, each member of the town may choose how productive they're going to be at work that day, ranging from 0% to 100%.

-you must submit your productivity BEFORE i call night. That means you need to submit your move during the day and can change anytime up until night starts
~ if they do not submit anything, they will default to 100% productivity.
~ at the start of each night, each town member will gain [100% minus their productivity that day] productivity percentage points.
~ for example, if they were 75% productive on d1, they will gain 25% productivity percentage points at the start of n1, for a total of 125% carried over.
~ in order to use their power role, they must consume the needed number of productivity percentage points, as said in their role pm.
~ productivity percentage points do not have to be used immediately, and they do not disappear if not used immediately.

3. the average of town's productivity:
~ at the end of each day, the arithmetic average of all towns productivity that day is calculated.
~ if the average is 75% or higher, nothing happens.
~ if the average is lower than 75% and not lower than 50%, the mafia gets one extra kill to use that night.
~ if the average is lower than 50% and not lower than 25%, the mafia gets two extra kills to use that night.
~ if the average is lower than 25%, the mafia gets three extra kills to use that night.
~ it is not publicly revealed what the town's average productivity is, or how many extra kills the mafia has that night.
~ the mafia will only know how many extra nightkills they have, if any; they will not be informed what the town's average productivity was.

Basic rules:

 1. Every night, there will be an elimination by vote. Vote for the person you want to eliminate by bolding your vote. Highest vote-getter is eliminated. If night ends at 8:00 PM, votes marked 8:00 PM WILL count. Votes marked at 8:01 PM will not count. If there's a tie, we'll have an overtime period. If still a tie, the elimination is randomized between the tied players.

 2. At night (after the elimination by vote), this is where most of the abilities will take place. For instance, mafia will be able to place a hit on a player.
You may send your moves in advance (and are encouraged to). You will have at least 30 mins after night ended before moves are locked

 3. Do not abuse editing to change votes.

 4. Do NOT post your PMs in thread. Do NOT copy+paste anything from your PMs verbatim. You must use your own words, and dont abuse this.

5. Flavour is just flavour, and has no bearing on player alignments. Don't use it to make arguments. I mean, you can I guess, but believe it at your own risk.

 6. The setup is not strictly normal, but it is non-bastard, and none of the roles are overly complex.

 7. PM me your moves early, you can always change it later.

 8. I reserve the right to replace or kill off inactive players.

9. No communication about the game outside the thread unless your role allows it.

10. The town faction is called Scranton employees. The mafia faction is named Dunder Mifflin executives

11. players are not able to multitask unless otherwise specified, with one exception: if a non-town player has the ability to use more than one kill in the same night, the same player may carry out more than one kill.

13. non-town power roles function as normal. Town power roles have a special mechanic. See the special gameplay mechanics section

Now is the time to ask questions about this. Its a lot of words, but the concept is pretty easy to understand.
