The Good, the Bad, the EXTEND JOSH JACOBS vs. Seahawks (Post-game chat)

Good:

OL after the first couple of drives

Carr played very well. Both picks were untimely, both were also heads up plays by the Seattle D.

WRs played a good game overall. Adams is unreal.

Jacobs was stellar today.

Crosby is stellar.

Zamir White getting some big chunks was great to see.

The Bad:

Moreau's drops.

Play calling. The designs were good, but my God does Josh lack situational awareness.

The win feels good, but Josh doesn't play to win, he plays not to lose. It's hard to be confident in that in terms of moving forward. We won a shootout against a bottom 1/3 D, and looking at some of the missed opportunities, it could have been a 2+ score win. Play calling has put us in a lot of one score situations that seem totally unnecessary, and it screws with the flow. We saw it again with our Jekyll and Hyde halves.

The defense outside of Crosby is still putrid and a mere excuse for our offense to rest. Seemed to get some more interior rush today, but our coverage schemes just do not put our guys in place to have any sort of sustainable success.

The Ugly:

We looked better on offense today than we have with Renfrow and Waller on the field at any point all year. That's a ton of money wrapped up in pieces that are beginning to look redundant. Hope we can move Waller, and frankly if we could move Renfrow I wouldn't be too upset.

Refs missing some obvious penalties that didn't help our game flow. The Adams PI and the hands to the face on Parham we're egregious. Not losing the Jacobs fumble was a blessing, but we got super lucky they called forward progress when they did, arguably early.

Not being able to capitalize on an off day by Seattle's O. Harmon's near pick would've been great. Moehrig had a couple of missed picks too. Those misses miss the opportunity to really build confidence.

Anthony Averette.

Mark Davis.
