Jeezla
This isn't about which QB is better. That's obviously been Hurts since week 4. This is about money. Which QB do you think signs for more total money on their next contract? Lamar or Jalen?
drew39k
Lamar is a FA after this year, right? Hurts isn't until next year, right? Hurts will use Lamar's contract as a floor in negotiations. The reverse would be true if the fa years were flipped Because of this, Hurts will get more.
SodeeWater_Cheezburger
It should probably be Lamar because he has a longer period of success. If I had my choice though, I think I'd rather sign Hurts for the next 4-5 years.
Danger
LaMar will get more, because Howie will get a long term deal done before the Ravens come to an agreement with LaMar.
Soko
Pending some long term injury, I’d be shocked if Lamar didn’t get a bigger deal.
BetterCallSaul
I have a weird feeling Hurts will take a team-friendly deal. Lamar will not. Just a hunch.
AFlaccoSeagulls
I feel like negotiating a deal for Hurts is a lot more straight forward than negotiating with Lamar. Hurts has improved steadily in the league, and they will likely try to extend him before year 3, whereas the Ravens waited and then Lamar had a down season after his MVP year (well, 2 down seasons) which complicates things. We're yet to see if Hurts plateaus or regresses, or just continues to improve. If I'm the Eagles, I'm not waiting around to find out like the Ravens did.

That's assuming that the Ravens don't just tag Lamar for next year, which is kind of where it feels like that is headed.
NJerseypaint
Lamar's situation is murkier now that he's injured. If Huntley continues to do well, does that lower Lamar's value to the Ravens? I can see them extending him a mediocre offer (so not Watson money), not tagging him when he declines, and Lamar going to the highest bidder. I think the Raven would be foolish to let Lamar walk, but I totally see them not giving him 40M a year, and him going elsewhere to get it. wackywabbit
The one who signs later, probably.
Malik
Almost always who signs later. I don't think the Eagles would have a problem signing Hurts for more than Lamar though. Hurts carries himself much better than Lamar does.
Malfatron
Lamar already showed that hes chasing the big bag Maybe hurts will take a medium-high bag
SodeeWater_Cheezburger
The Packers have proven that they are willing to break the bank for a QB. Any chance they would bring Lamar in?
