germ-x Posted December 11, 2022 Share Posted December 11, 2022 Russ played backyard football in Seattle and was supported by a strong running game. He wanted to be treated as a guy that could operate from the pocket, which Seattle wouldn’t allow. We are seeing what that looks like. He’s a backyard style QB, who needs support but Denver is honoring his wishes and trying to let him be a pocket passer. Teams go blitz happy against offensive lines that are struggling with communication issues as well(which certainly fits the broncos).
