I think it's time to start including Joe Burrow as a Top 3 NFL QB.

  1. 1. Where does Joe Burrow rank as a QB right now?

Made the SB last year. Mahomes has difficult time beating the Bengals for whatever reasons...

And Allen looks to be smack dab in the middle of these two.

If 2007 Brady, 2015 Peyton Manning was a 100/100. And then the worst QB of all time 40/100.

Based on this season so far I'd go

Mahomes 97/100

Josh Allen 96/100

Joe Burrow 95/100

Did just fine without Chase for 4 weeks.

I mean, they played the last month without Chase.

Just fine is not top-3, though.

Played weak competition except for TEN, but his numbers weren't that good against TEN and only scored 20.

Got destroyed 32-13 against CLE.

Do you hold everyone else to this standard? How would Allen look without Diggs?

Burrow being a top 3 QB is more of an indication of how weak the general landscape of QB's is right now in the NFL more than him being a great QB. He's not a great QB at all but so many guys are having down years and so many veterans are finally starting to show their age that we have to view a fringe top-10 guy was now a top 3 guy.

But if we're going just off this year, no way you're putting Burrow above Geno Smith. That's just straight up malpractice.

Passing Advanced Passing
Rk Player Year QBrec Att Cmp% Y/A+ NY/A+ AY/A+ ANY/A+ Cmp%+ TD%+ Int%+ Sack%+ Rate+
1 Joe Burrow 2022 8-4-0 440 69.1 117 113 118 115 119 115 109 94 120
2 Geno Smith 2022 7-5-0 392 72.7 122 115 124 118 136 114 115 93 127

This year it's Mahomes, Allen, Geno Smith, Tua, Jalen Hurts and then you can start talking about Joe Burrow.

Went 3-1 and instead of 5th in the NFL in passer rating he'd be 7th.

I mean, I try to factor in as many things as possible. How good are the weapons, the coaching, etc.

The first thing you have to account with Burrow is that he has one of the elite WR groups to throw to.

If you put Burrow on an average team with average WRs, would he elevate them? I'm not sure about that.
