Can you even blame the Lions though? I don’t think anyone was calling into question whether or not he was worth a top 5 pick at the time. Thompson was one of the best first round drafters of his time (if not the best) and he drafted Hawk 5th overall and Harrell I want to say 11th. Okudah had two serious injuries his first two years. I don't know how you hold a GM at fault for that. FYI, he's playing really good football right now. I'm of the belief that you never take a DB top 5-10 unless they're generational and Okudah wasn't generational at Ohio State. They could've had Tu'a or Herbert there and traded Stafford after the season (as they did anyways). At the time, my thought process was QBotf or Derrick Brown.
