that's game right there

McDaniel is the key reason we lost imo by refusing to run in key situations. We took two FGs from very short range after needlessly taking shots in the end zone. The 3rd and 1 before our last FG could have been easily converted on a run the way we were moving the ball on ground all game. He decided to get cute and he blew it.

Didn’t realize it was this bad.

Yep!!!!  It seems to me that the only thing McDaniel is guilty of is letting the game fall on the back of the Defense, and that may be win / win for McDaniel if he needs the juice for a new DC in the off season.  Remember, Josh Boyer came as a package deal for McDaniel.  It was a deal where if you want the HC job you have to keep Boyer.  McDaniel has all the juice he needs now to make the argument that he needs a new DC once the season is over.

I'm strangely upbeat following this game.  No major injuries (that I recall), as Holland came back with the neck roll.  Tua looked solid again for the first time in a few weeks.  That TD throw to Tyreek was pretty.  Run game was the best it's been all year.  If Wilson is healthy for this game, I almost guarantee they run at least a couple times on those 3rd and shorts.  If either Sherfield or Tyreek catch one of those very catchable balls in the end zone, this is a different ball game.

This was a game that everyone, myself included, thought the Fins were going to get steamrolled in.  It didn't happen.  Even with Igbinoghene getting roasted on every play, the Fins were in it until the end and had plenty of opportunities to win it outright.  Can't ask for much more than that on the road, in unfamiliar weather, against the team with the best record in the AFC.
