I think he’s gone.

Some in house 🏠 replacement ive heard fans thinking about being the new DC are

-Daniel bullocks. our safeties coach and assistant defensive coach

-Cory Undlin. Our safeties coach and passing game specialist

Outside coach replacement maybe vic fangio’s return

I think Johnny Holland would be another candidate, the LBs have been really good, so he has to have something to do with that. I like Bullocks & Undlin too.

I dont like that he is taking so much time away from game prep to do all these interviews.. what happened to waiting until your season is over

They can't. Qualified NFL people lose jobs this way and other teams need to get their offseason going

This is another reason why I am not thrilled Minnesota lost. Ryans is conducting three interviews while having a short week to prepare for an opponent since we still do not know who we are playing.

Possible he's done a lot of legwork on Dallas and that because we played the Bucs in December that it will be ok, but it's still a lot to manage in one week.

He's given us no reason to doubt him, but I will say in the nfccg last year mcvay had some really great playcalls that seemed to have a jump on our coverages. If I am not mistaken, he had an interview somewhere that week? He still gets the benefit of the doubt though, obviously.

FOUR head coaching interviews in one week while gameplaning for your opponent? And you won't even know who your opponent is until tonight? Thats bound to affect your preparation. And the defense has been faltering anyway as of late too.

I don't blame Ryans for doing his HC interviews, its just how its set up, but its probably going to affect our defensive preparation.

So the lions OC, Ben Johnson, had an interview scheduled for tomorrow with Carolina. He just cancelled it.

Ben allbright is speculating that Sean Payton is probably going to accept that job. Dan Campbell was Sean Paytons TE coach for a long time and so he is essentially saying that Johnson knows that Payton is going to take the job, so he decided to cancel the interview.

The Panthers are definitely one of the better jobs out there imo.

They also already interviewed Fangio for DC, who has been attached to Payton as a hc hire

I think they should change the rules to no interviews or coaching hires until after the season. Don’t really care how it’s done but it’s always been dumb to me that during the most important games of the year, coordinators have to get selfish instead of prepare.

I can't imagine these are happening during the morning or afternoon hours where a coach would be in the office game planning. These are probably evening phone calls to get to know Ryans as a person and talk a little specifics.

There's little to no impact to the 49ers week of game planning and practicing if Ryans is taking an interview phone call at 7pm at night, or even over lunch during the day.

I honestly don't think these are a big deal.

To be fair, we did hire our head coach while he was in the midst of a Superbowl run.
