People should probably remember he's a second year QB before making all these hot takes.

I think the better qualifier was that he was a mid-round selection of a QB.  Sophomore or no, you expect players to take a step forward and progress in their development and in that respect Dak has been hit or miss.  Meanwhile, and what's probably not helping his case, the two QB's draft in the 1st in his rookie class  have made that step and are looking like the real deal.

I think it's always going to be difficult to get a truly objective eval on Dak from people because it's so difficult finding someone not affected by one of the biases that make people want to set the expectation of him being a Top QB in the league which was, honestly, never really realistic.

Most fans don't care. The touchdown would have made the game interesting.

Yeah, you know, to hell with the rules - just make the game more entertaining.

While we're at it, why not bury randomly-placed landmines in the field?  That'll boost the suspense and be entertaining for people who enjoy Michael Bay movies.

Say what you want, but ratings keep declining and the flags are a big part of the reason.

Not really.  Ratings are declining because the method for gathering them is outdated relative to the mediums through which people view the product nowadays.  Streaming services and the like aren't accounted for at all.
