A lot of guys do this about their speed. It’s a pride thing. And they may have timed him at that. Those times are often off more than they are accurate. So to say he has the same 40 time as Cooks which was verified at the combine is reaching. I will leave it at that.

Well unless you have a recent coming off injury 29 year old brandin Cooks 40 time hanging around, I'll trust my eyes

This matchup is like the bucs making the playoffs bad.  2 teams i find very lacking with the product on the field under the lights and attention from everyone lol.

That said, give me Anchorage here.  I just feel with everything they will make more plays on offense and more stops on defense

28-17 Anchorage

3. He’s not getting back deep in time to help with either of those receivers. All it takes is a step and Cooks is in the endzone. If you are going to consistently put two corners on islands against deep threats, they are going to get burned eventually with a QB like Burrow throwing at them.

I'm going to assume you are unaware that Cisco has the same 40 time as Hollywood and Cooks so I will forgive that statement as ignorance instead of chosen stupidity

I don't think putting a guy down in the box and then having them turn and sprint to catch up to an outside receiver (they're all fast, I know) is a realistic coverage to be attempting on a regular basis. You're trying to have your cake and eat it too here because in a cover 1 your deep man can't be your robber at the same time.

I don't have a robber. He's just bailing to deep one shading tp Hollywood's side .  He's only starting closer to the box cause I do have some zones mixed in that help disguise when we do use them

Even if he’s not playing robber, that’s a tough if not impossible ask.

Moreso than this, I frankly don’t see how Rome has any sustainable success running the ball given their formational inability to account for a Mike linebacker in the blocking game, and I think Anchorage’s personnel answer with their Nickel and Dime personnel neutralizes the 3-4 wide receiver sets.

I think going largely Cover 1 against Joe Burrow is actually a smart move, as Burrow has historically struggled with turnovers in that area. The issue for me is that I don’t see Rome having much success offensively sustaining drives ending in points. I see a lot of 3rd and medium to long situations for Rome, and statistically speaking that won’t be a good and sustainable solution.

Late-season injuries have taken a toll on both teams here. Game of attrition tho.
