The bad thing is we’re truly in no man’s land. Ownership is most likely going to change which means the coach and his regime stays another season. We’ll probably lose Daron Payne because Rivera didn’t think he was worth keeping and of course he does onto have a career year. Just ridiculous. 9 losing seasons in 12 years for the guy you gave the keys to the franchise too.

We can just franchise tag Payne

Don’t you have to have an owner to okay it? Isn’t that how we lost Trent Green?

Not sure about that. I guess we’ll find out. IMO franchising Payne doesn’t solve the problem. It’s either he agrees to a long term deal after we tag him or, it’s a tag and trade that needs to happen unlike when we had Kirk, TWill & Scherff & should’ve moved them a year before they left.

But we're still gonna act like we're in the hunt and not try to evaluate talent.

I swear, we could put two potatoes, with headsets no less (*), in Rivera's and Turner's spots at game time and come up with a better offense and more wins.

(*) If anyone can photoshop two potatoes with headsets and W caps on, I would be forever appreciative.

It’s ok to think how you did.  Carson was good before the injury.  So was RGIII.  This isn’t like a Ryan Leaf situation where he just wasn’t any good.  So us fans and coaches have seen the flashes.  They gambled and it didn’t work out.  We should have been looking to invest more than we did in other QBs, but even then, the stink of Snyder around this franchise may still have nixed deals.

Carson was good before which injury?

Hopefully the next owner, GM & coaching staff brings new luck & winning to this once proud franchise within a few years of them buying the team.
