NoFlyZone
WHEN: 12/29/22 at 7:15pm CST WHERE: Nissan Stadium The Basic Story: This week we have the team coming off of a big divisional win against their bitter rivals only to run headfirst into a team boasting the longest losing streak in the NFL. The Titans have gone from the defacto winner/favorite of the AFC South to sputtering towards the finish line as they cling to any hope of taking the division from the now surging Jacksonville Jaguars. They have certainly gone from promising to disappointing. During this 5 game, current league worst losing streak the Titans have averaged 15 points per game while allowing 25 points per game on average. Just once over the last five games they have crossed over 20 points in a game... and that was 22 against a very familiar Jaguars team. Derrick Henry is having a great season per usual with 1429 rushing yards across 15 games... but you still have to wonder if the Titans will have the teeth to compete... especially with an offense such as the Dallas Cowboys that more than shown their teeth since the return of their franchise QB with averaging a league best 36+ points per game over the past two months. With all of that said, clearly the Titans need this game and are going to play hard at home. Obviously our team also needs this win if they want any shot of pulling off robbing the Eagles of the division crown. While it seemed unlikely to happen once Dallas slipped up against Jacksonville, it certainly is not impossible with only two games left to decide playoff seeding. It is certainly likely that Dallas will be traveling to the division leader of the NFC South once the playoffs start... but we're not there yet, and the team can only play on a week to week basis and see where things fall. The quest continues this Thursday at 7:15pm central. Will the Titans right the ship and get ready to fight for their playoff spot in the final week of the season? Or will our own team continue its shot of staying alive in its own division race? Could be a good one, but I personally see Dallas winning this one by two scores on the road. NoFlyZone
Some related injury news: ^ Looks like LVE will be missing another game. Definitely would have been nice to have him help hold up against Henry, but it makes more sense for him to get healthy for the playoffs. ^ Didn't realize Pollard was banged up. He has actually been listed as DNP for two days now. If it's significant I'd honestly rather just roll with Zeke in this game as I just don't see it necessary to force Pollard out there for this matchup. But if it's just a thigh bruise, maybe no big deal.

Yes they are, and I’m in my fantasy championship relying on him. Unreal This titans team will be like the week 18 eagles team from last year. It’s a preseason game for them. Willis at QB, starting RB has 11 carries on the year, and they are beat up everywhere. The game against the Jags in week 18 decides the division and it appears they are using this week to get healthy. If I were Dallas I’d let my starters build a 3 score lead and start benching people Edited December 28, 2022 by DaBoys

I’m not big on giving players a week off as it’s led to being a little rusty sometimes in the playoffs but obviously you don’t want to risk injury once the seeding is locked in. This is assuming the Eagles take care of business with the Saints, which I think they will.

textaz03
Goal for this game, run the score up 30 points in the first half then sit key players in second half. I would also rest Parsons and Diggs and Pollard/Zeke for the game
NoFlyZone
Lol @ me for not even originally understanding just how little this game means for the Titans… though they really do need a ‘get right’ game. Limping into a ‘win and you’re in’ game off of a 6 game losing streak doesn’t seem great in its own right. pf9
Seems just like yesterday this was an in-state rivalry game.

Not until you know you're walking away with the win. Even if the chance of winning the division is small, you have to make sure you're in position to take advantage of any slip ups by Philly. I’d let Micah be a 3rd down specialist, and I’d probably let Tony Pollard take a breath. Anyone who is actually healthy should go win this game, though. If Hurts doesn’t play this week, they could lose to an NO team fighting for their playoff lives.

I saw a tweet that said Pollard traveled with the team, but his status is still TBD.
