Week 17 Guide to the browns pick

I decided to post everything that we need to see happen to maximize the browns pick.

obviously, the Browns losing is a must

but here are some other match ups that matter and who we need to win those.

Jaguars over Texans. More than just the Texans needing a loss, a Jags win keeps them ahead of the browns in the standings.

Lions vs Bears is a push. A bears win and Texans loss will clinch the number 1 pick, but a lions loss puts them in position to be tied with the Browns and could lower the browns pick.

Patriots over Dolphins. Again the browns can get to 7-9 this week which could raise the pick if several 7-8 teams lose.

Saints over Eagles. Need the saints to get to 7 wins to pull them ahead of the browns.

Panthers over the Bucs. Nearly a push but getting both teams to 7 wins helps our chances.

Raiders over 49ers. Raiders are another team sitting tied with the browns at 6-9 and they need to pull ahead.

Packers over Seahawks.  Get the Packers to 8 wins to keep them ahead of the browns.

Rams over the chargers. Gets the rams to 6 wins and possibly a tie with the browns.

Steelers over ravens. Get the Steelers to 8 wins to stay ahead of the browns.

lots of games matter to us this week. The browns pick could fall anywhere from 3 to 18 which is crazy.

Man - picking 1 and 3 would be phenomenal, Bryce Young and either Jalen Carter or Will Anderson would be fantastic.

I've become less infuriated with the Titans win because of this. Still pretty much guaranteed 1 of those 3. Bryce should be there at 2.

We desperately need to lose this game and lock up a top 2 pick.

I don’t think it’s going to be particularly close - Jacksonville has been a really good team the last two months, they’re actually a sleeper team that got hot in the right part of the year.

Jacksonville knows this is a litmus test - they’re 0-9 vs the Texans, this is a “get the monkey off our back” moment for them and legitimizes their current season. Taking out a five season trend does wonders for confidence going into a win or go home W18 game.

Even if you subscribe to the “we always beat the Jags” narrative, you have week 18 in Indianapolis - which turns into the “we always lose in Indy” Draw Four card in the deck. I don’t care how bad Nick Foles and Jeff Saturday are, this franchise lost to Curtis Painter in the middle of a division winning season when JJ Watt and Arian Foster were the best players on the planet - if you discount the Jags because of a five year stretch, you have to buy high on the Colts because of a 20 year stretch.

I’m pretty confident we’re on the clock. We’re not going to win out, we will have the #1 pick.
