Whicker
The truth is that being shorter is better. We are more efficient with our space Edited March 2, 2023 by Whicker

MWil23
I assume my boy @Blue is actually a ghost writer here. Seriously though he’s right, mostly because I feel the exact same way.

I both wish I was (since it would be a nice side gig) and can tell you it clearly isn't because if I need to explain it to you in that level of detail, you're going to ignore it anyways so why waste my time
Blue
Look, this is the sort of thing that drives me nuts about Bryce Young's evaluation. This play is painted as a positive by Brugler: https://twitter.com/dpbrugler/status/1569325695414722560?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1569325695414722560|twgr^9e5dc6c190e4cd009ba06b4a7f573e4aa33e40f4|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theringer.com%2Fnfl-draft%2F2023%2F3%2F3%2F23623742%2Fbryce-young-height-short-nfl-combine-outlier But Young's eyes are visibly plastered to his right the entire time he's in the pocket, clearly staring down a receiver and waiting for him to come open. This play doesn't break down because the receiver can't get open or the line can't block, it's that he just stands there for ages looking for a single read until it devolves into backyard ball. And yes, Young is very good when the play breaks down. But you can't build an offense around that, and while he might be athletic enough to make the DL miss in space in college, the NFL is different.
