Obviously but still the same position of need which was my main point

But is it a position of need? We drafted Moehring  who had a good rookie year 72.5 per pff, we changed defensive coordinators who alot here says sucks his grade drops to 55.4 per pff it seems a bit premature to act like he's a bust after his sophomore season.

That would be good signing

I keep hearing how we are going to be "building the right way to build a consistent winner" etc etc etc.

Poyer is 31.  🤨

Get guys going into their prime.  Not their twilight.

We need vet help at OG, LB S and CB at this point.

Risner/Powers LG

Seumaulo RG Herbig RG (cheap option if look to draft a G)

Long/Pratt/Holcomb (cheaper option)

RYS, Bradberry WJIII

Poyer(assuming we don’t resign Harmon), Peppers, Love.

The problem is, those guys don't make it to FA typically. And they tend to get ridiculously overpaid.

To be a consistent winning organization, you have to build through the draft. The Raiders have done a poor job of that. So they have to fill holes with vets that can start and bring leadership while trying to develop their homegrown talent.

With so many day 3 picks, you're not getting much starting talent. Need vets to help their development and be leaders to them in the locker room.

Would fall in line with how they’ve done things up to this point. Hopefully we go younger and not hand out contracts to guys on their last legs.

+1

Getting guys who can produce now would be a boon. Team doesn’t need them to be in long term plans that’s what the draft is for. Sign him to a 3 year contract and let him walk at age 34. If they don’t have a competent replacement by then something is wrong.
