I'm actually surprised he signed long term...thinking he might want to get out of town like all the other stars of the team that either were ditched or split. Instead I get the fun news that they signed Eric Hosmer. Hooray. Good deal for both Devers and the Red Sox though. Devers gets his life changing money and the Red Sox can show their fanbase that they actually are capable of keeping one of their homegrown stars again.
