Like their zone coverage scores in college compared to how they did in zone their rookie year. Like, I want to see if drafting the best zone coverage LBs would make them the best zone coverage NFL players. I'm probably going to be tackling (pardon the pun) some other areas, including finishing out the LB's since it's a big group. We've got guys that are more edge, 4-3 OLB'S, 4-3 ILB's, 3-4 ILB's. Just trying to navigate that and narrow down who I feel are potential fits for the Lions. So far, Jack Campbell is my no. 1.
Karnage84
I have 19 LB's left to go and then I'll be updating the list. From there, I'm going to categorize the guys that I think are fits for what the Lions will want in a LB and make a bit more of a short list. There's 67 guys right now and the combine invites will certainly alter some of this.

The highlighted yellow guys (on the left) are above average for OVR, Run Defense, Coverage. When it comes to Lions LB's, I'm projecting someone that will eventually take over for Anzalone. They should be around 235 in order to ensure they have the physical presence to command the middle. We will probably be looking to add another guy at some point for depth. Louis Friend
I usually watch alot of games and film, highlights, etc but seeing numbers broken down is helpful. Especially when it doesn't match what I've seen so I can go look for more info.

Or when you're comparing the scouting reports and then see a description that doesn't match up.
Karnage84
I added a breakdown of snaps at various positions for the Lions and our safety group (I included Will Harris because of his flexibility). FSL FS FSR Walker 24.2% Joseph 28.3% Joseph 15.8% Joseph 14.9% Walker 24.0% Elliott 15.4% Elliott 6.2% Elliott 12.2% Walker 9.0%
Karnage84
OLB SCB LB SS Elliott 7.9% Harris 41.7% Elliott 17.4% Elliott 7.4% Harris 2.7% Joseph 11.8% Walker 6.3% Harris 6.7% Joseph 2.5% Elliott 11.5% Harris 5.4% Walker 4.6% Walker 2.2% Walker 8.7% Joseph 2.7% Harris 0.3%
Karnage84
For PFF, I believe these are the definitions for their position designations: FS - Single high safety FSL - Split safety left FSR - Split safety right LB - 4-3 OLB OLB - Lined up on the line, usually in a pass-rushing setting (or at least threatening the rush)
Karnage84
NOTE: Added the Man/Zone grades for the Lions S group. I'm of the belief that: a) Elliott: Re-signs b) Harris: Re-signs c) We draft a safety deeper in the draft OR a SCB that has positional flexibility Elliott was a leader on this defense in Walker's absence. I think the Lions like Harris' versatility and he seems to have found his role. If they can bring him back on an inexpensive contract, I think he comes back. Joseph has emerged as a stud so I don't think they will try to rush Tracy back. They'll probably role with a 3 headed monster of Walker, Joseph and Elliott with a mid-round rookie that's strong in the slot but can also play FS in a pinch.
