The amount of times he’s stepped in to make decisions and overrule his staff are few and far between. At one point he was going to fire Ryan Grigson and got talked out of it by Chuck Pagano. He gave both of them extensions and then fired Grigson the next off season. Irsay even admitted that if Saturday turned him down that Reich wouldn’t have been fired. Chris Ballard is handling the interviews and will be the one to pick the new head coach.
