Kiwibrown
2020 NFL draft 1.10 Jed Wils- his first two years he seemed to be doing ok and then this year he has been pretty average, his body language has been disgusting, he doesnt fight. At the time it seemed like a good pick. Man I wish we had got Wirfs instead. Im on the trade Wils bandwagon, probably by myself. 2.44 grant Delpit. lost his rookie year, did not do much year 2. After a terrible start he has played some very strong games, I am optimistic about him becoming a top 15 safety. Good pick, eventually. 3.88 Jordan Elliot. Slow start and hasnt picked up. He will have to have a hell of a year 4. 3.97 Jacob Phillips. Looks like a linebacker, team gets better when he doesnt play. cut. 4.1115 Harrison Bryant, I really thought he was going to develop into something, moves well, but just to lean. Maybe he will get better. I think he is a decent 4th round pick. 5.160 Nick Harris, he has had a good game or two, but gets injured easy on bull rushes. 6.187 DPJ. has been an excellent pick. the best of this draft. He is a average 2nd wr and would be an excellent 3rd WR.
brownie man
The thing about Wills vs Wirfs is that Wirfs is playing RT which is what he played in college. We don’t know 100% he would be the player he is at Left Tackle. Wills was the better projection to switch. We’ll never really know with Wirfs.

Disappointing for where he was selected, but not a useless player even if he has underachieved. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: Im on the trade Wils bandwagon, probably by myself. I think guys like him are harder to upgrade from than you think. Joe Thomas has spoiled a lot of fans. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 2.44 grant Delpit. lost his rookie year, did not do much year 2. I’m optimistic due to flashes, but I still have no idea because of the mental breakdowns. He clearly didn’t like the scheme and said as much. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 3.88 Jordan Elliot. Agree he’s gonna need a big year 4 to make the pick look decent. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 3.97 Jacob Phillips. Looks like a linebacker, team gets better when he doesnt play. cut. Maybe the new DC can get something out of him, but he’s been bad. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 4.1115 Harrison Bryant, I really thought he was going to develop into something, moves well, but just to lean. About what you expect put of a day 3 TE. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 5.160 Nick Harris, he has had a good game or two, but gets injured easy on bull rushes. TBD. This was gonna be a big year from him but injuries delayed that. Honestly a complete unknown as of now. 2 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 6.187 DPJ. has been an excellent pick. the best of this draft. Kiwibrown
1.26 Greg Newsome. I liked his rookie year and year 2 he seemed wasted in the slot. He didnt make many plays but never seemed to let up a busted coverage. middling pick 2.52 JOK. amazing rookie year and average 2nd year. He needs big DTs in front of him, it doesnt work with these 290 pound guys. Optimistic about the man, the player, he is scheme dependent. 3.91 anthony Schwartz. hated it at the time, I havent warmed up. too easily hurt, his speed isnt as good as it is on paper. 4.110 Has not bee na good starter, could develop, like the pick. 4.132 Tommy Togiai. Seems like a good dude, but has been terrible at playing football. He is a nose tackle that is just too small to play nose/ 5.153 Tony fields. he has been very good for a 5th rounder. Out played JOK this year, has been fire on sts too. Good pick. 5.169 Richard lecounte, had a great pre season first two years, but got cut. He was worth the risk. 6.211 Demetric Felton. He looked good year one and awful year 2. unless he does something he will be cut.
Dawgpoun8017
The thing to remember about Delpit is this is essentially only his second year due to the Achilles injury his rookies year, I think he had a decent year in comparison to a lot of second year player
Kiwibrown
3.68 Martin Emerson he had a great preseason and a very good season. Pushed Greg Newsome inside. excellent pick. 3.78 Alex Wright. Appears to have the size to play DE. did not make many spash plays and did not show much as a pass rusher will need to improve off a solid effort. 3.99 David Bell, he is the opposite of schwartz with the same results, I am not confident he is the athlete to be a great NFL Wr. Did not flash open but showed great hands. 4.108 Really came on towards the end of the year, had a slow start to the year due to discipline issues. could be a starter. Probably already the best out of Berrys three drafted Dts, Elliot, togiai 4.124 Cade York, inconsistent, but brilliant at times 5.156 Jerome Ford, looked good in pre season, one good KR. takes over from hunt next season, good enough in the 5th round 6.202 Michael Woods, had a couple of nice catches, wont turn into antyhing special, may offer more than Bell. 7.223 Isaiah Thomas. Flashed whne he played, had one really clean sack vs the bengals. could be a good 4th end. 7.246, Dawson Deaton. skin claves, got hurt, incomplete. Could be his best draft class. He struggled when asked to play deep coverage often, but played well when allowed to play close to the LOS. I'm not saying extend Delpit, but he's someone I still have hope for if given a competent DC.
MWil23
In three years I’m happy with about 3-5 picks he’s made. Wills is average at best, Delpit is meh and definitely not as good as Winfield, I like Newsome, I like DPJ, and York has some potential. JOK has been up and down but I think it’s mostly scheme. Harris I liked at the time and still do. Injury sucks for him. Wright is whatever for me/unknown. I think Ford has some potential behind Chubb. Bryant is an average depth guy. Fields is a nice backup. Emerson had a nice rookie year.

Love the frame and he seems to play hard, just haven’t seen him make a lot of plays. 11 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 3.99 David Bell, he is the opposite of schwartz with the same results, I am not confident he is the athlete to be a great NFL Wr. Did not flash open but showed great hands. I like the concept of having a guy who’s proven to understand the nuances of playing receiver and who should be able to be a dependable guy in the slot. I don’t love drafting him as high as we did considering his athleticism. Put up almost identical numbers to Landry this season though, so there’s that lol. 11 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 4.108 Really came on towards the end of the year, had a slow start to the year due to discipline issues. could be a starter. I love the intensity he plays with, dude doesn’t just go through the motions. 11 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 4.124 Cade York, inconsistent, but brilliant at times I’m bullish long term. Rookie kickers, especially in Cleveland, often suck. We’ve seen plenty of guys that this fanbase was certain couldn’t kick go elsewhere and be a viable option. Give him time, his leg is top tier. 11 hours ago, Kiwibrown said: 5.156 Jerome Ford, looked good in pre season, one good KR. takes over from hunt next season, good enough in the 5th round Great pick in theory, liked the prospect and he got a “redshirt” year. Dawgpoun8017
Alex wright came into the season known to be raw, for how raw he was I was impressed because I think he played more than anticipated, he plays hard every snap and was good at getting those long arms up into the passing lanes. If we can get a DC in here who can really develop him, I think he will be a good player
LETSGOBROWNIES
I’d fire Woods again if we could. Look at the favorable matchups guys like Watt and Judon got. Oh, and Clowney was fill of ****

He is a true STAR/NICKEL player. We're asking him to play WLB in base fronts and basically MIKE in certain Nickel/Dime sets. The whole allure to getting JOK was to play him in the STAR role and not really have to use a true nickel 95% of the time. He can cover slots and TE's. He can blitz off the edge. He can handle man and zone responsibilities out there against NFL athletes. Instead, we play him on the weak side and ask him to be a run-first player who covers backs out of the backfield. He is a stud that hasn't been able to play to his strengths for a single snap here in Cleveland. I was so mad when I first heard we were going to play him at WILL LB. He's wasted there.

Pre combine almost everyone wasn’t even sure if he’d be a linebacker. Most thought safety. Absolutely agree here.
dawgdish
It's tough to be able to comprehensively evaluate Berry's draft picks (especially on Defense) when the quality of the coaching they get is questionable. Certainly seems to come in to play with discussion of guys like JOK and maybe Delpit. With someone like Wills it's a little more cut and dried: Callahan ain't the problem, it's the guys attitude/motor. All in all, I'd say Berry has done an average job in terms of the draft, and FA in general.

Does well at the top of the draft--is bad in the middle of the draft. However, he has been great IMO in free agency/trades. Cooper for a 5th, getting Conklin when the RT market is a absolute premium, Dion Jones looked really good in the handful of games he played here, Sheldon Richardson was a fantastic move, Clowney when he cares has been awesome, ect.
