Pittman is really good I would be on board...two young talented players at primer positions plus two additional top 50 picks & another near top 100 in this draft and what would be expected to be a top 10 pick next year...not sure how much more we could expect. beardown3231
FWIW and all jokes aside, Kap is relatively plugged in but how the hell would he know this? He has zero connections to the Colts. The Colts would also not start these talks without a HC in place

topwop1
It doesn't get mentioned a whole lot but the Seahawks could be interested in moving up to 1 Geno Smith is a free agent and after the season he just had are we sure the Seahawks are going to want to spend big money to keep him.. I mean what's his value? That's going to be a tough negotiation. If they can't reach a deal would they consider using the tag on him? That sounds like a lot of risk for a guy who's shown to be mostly average or below his whole career up until this season. Anyway I only bring them up because they have two first round picks this year including the 5th pick and that could be an enticing package for the Bears in a trade down

I highly doubt DK would be available. Still I think I would take their two 1st's this year plus let's say their high 2nd from Denver. That would give us 4 picks in the first two rounds this year. I also wouldn't be bummed about missing out on Anderson or Carter depending on what happens in FA. For instance say we sign DaRon Payne. Also is it crazy for me to think that guys like Myles Murphy or Tyree Wilson are more natural fits for what Flus is looking for on the DL? Let's not discount the possibility of an Olineman with our first pick either. Skoronski is a very good prospect and a local Chicago guy. We always talk about setting up Fields for success ...well we just witnessed one of the worst OL performances in quite a long time. I don't know how that gets easily fixed without investing high picks on solid talent. With as bad as the D this season was I wouldn't be disappointed if our first two picks were dedicated towards fixing the offense

Even if we sign Daron Payne I would still go all out for one of the true elite defensive prospects. I think Murphy & Wilson could be better fits than Anderson...not better than Carter tho. Skoronski IMO is overrated...want nothing to do with him in the top 10. We need help all over on both sides of the ball...I just want the best talent regards of side of the ball and in the top 10 of this draft that is more than likely a defender. Input? Sure but unless they are standing on the table against a guy, the GM (and in this type of situation with a QB the owner) are making the decision. Just look at Shanahan and the Trey Lance pick. I’m not really interested in him unless we’re moving into the Tennessee range or later. Even then someone better will likely fall/be there And him being a “Chicago guy” should never factor into his draft evaluation, not even alittle bit.

I was thinking about this last night...Shanahan has got VERY lucky twice in his career having seemingly mis-evaluated a QB... 2012 draft Washington took RG3 2nd overall then Kirk Cousins in the 4th. 2022 draft San Fran take Lance 3rd overall then Brock Purdy in the 7th. Can't think of anyone else who as gotten away with that.

He got talked into Lance, he wanted Jones forever, and was convinced to go with the potential over what he knew he could run his offense with. And he’s been a good soldier for Lynch on that one.
