If that's your criterion for what makes a QB elite, you must think Rex Grossman, Goff, and Garappolo are better than Allen too. And since Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Foles not only made it to a Super Bowl but won, I guess they're better than Burrow. What a horrendously flawed metric you have.
Ryan_W
very good QBs with elite receivers can lose to other very good QBs with elite receivers

What a horrendously flawed comparison.. Do you honestly think a liability like Grossman takes Cincy to back to back Conference Championships? Do you honestly think a liability like Grossman takes Cincy to back to back Conference Championships? Probably not. That's why "getting to the Super Bowl" is not a great way to measure how good a QB is. Plenty of mediocre QBs have done it. Going to back to back conference championships isn't so amazing either. QBs like Mark Sanchez, Joe Flacco, and Colin Kaepernick have done it.

The fact of the matter is that it’s incredibly cliche to attribute SB appearances solely to one player in most circumstances. Even with Rodgers winning multiple MVPs since his last SB appearance over a decade ago he never made it back.. because he ran into better teams in the playoffs(Niners.. been a thorn in the side of Dallas now, too).
