Taking a moment to appreciate Purdy's postseason stats:
- Most playoff completions in the postseason by a rookie QB: 41, tied with Mark Sanchez in 2009
- Highest playoff completion percentage by a rookie QB(min 16 attempts): 65.08%, beating Matt Ryan's 65.00% in 2008
- Second most playoff passing yards by a rookie QB(min 8 attempts): 569, behind Russell Wilson's 572 in 2012
- Second highest playoff yards per attempt by a rookie QB: 9.03, behind Wilson's 9.23
- Second most passing TDs by a rookie QB: 3, tied with Roethlisberger in 2004, Wilson, and Dak in 2016, and behind Sanchez's 4
- Most playoff combined TDs by a rookie QB: 4, tied with Wilson and Sanchez
- Most playoff passing attempts without an interception: 63, ahead of Norm Van Brocklin's 14 in 1949 and Tyler Huntley's 13 in 2020
- Highest playoff passer rating by a rookie QB(min 8 attempts): 109.8, beating Dak's 103.2
- Seventh rookie QB to make it to a conference championship, after Pat Haden in 1976, Dieter Brock in 1985, Shaun King in 1999, Roethlisberger, Flacco in 2008, and Sanchez
- Third rookie QB to win two playoff games, after Flacco and Sanchez

Apparently has swelling in elbow and forearm. Not sure if a pinched nerve would do that or not

The swelling impacts the feeling with the nerve.  But there's likely a UCL injury - that's where the swelling is coming from.  It's not usually one that needs surgery with QB's given the throwing mechanism is totally different than with pitchers in baseball, but that's not always true (Big Ben needed it eventually).

There's not a single Eagles fan (especially me) that wanted Purdy or any 49er injured and removed from the game.

Yes it played a factor in the overall effectiveness of the 49ers offense, the play calling, ect. Just as it would have if Hurts went out, then Minshew afterwards. I 100% agree and absolutely get it.

But this narrative the Eagles wouldn't of won without that occurring is just a  convenient and frankly BS excuse!

Sucks on numerous levels for the SF players, coaches and especially thier entire fan base. I get it.

still came back in to give it a shot.  Its impossible not to like him

Saw a bunch of Niners fans (not on here) calling him soft after the game like just cause he came back in to mainly to have someone to hand it off to the backs means he's okay to actually throw... smh. He can't help a nerve injury in his throwing motion. Maybe Niners shouldn't have tried blocking Reddick with a TE. That's not Purdy's fault. He gave them everything he had.
