Falconof Shadows
Maybe not as big news as all the HC positions that just filled but he interviewed for a few DC roles including ATL seems like a solid hire for the FalconsĀ

Trojan
Is this a co-defensive coordinator type thing? They just hired the Saint's DL coach as DC, is this senior advisor-y or potentially more DC like but the other guy got the title to steal him from the Saints? The game the Packers DC got I think COVID and missed, Gray called a good game. He's been a good coordinator before too. I like the hire, I just don't get the role.

TheKillerNacho
Double coordinators is not a thing that usually works out well, but good luck!

Assistant Head Coach on defense side.Ā Ā Ā Every team has two assistant head coach positions, one each. Optionally. FalconFan13
He is a assistant Head coach and defensive backs secondary coach.Ā Where as Nielson is the full defensive coordinator who will be calling the plays.Ā With Jerry as a advisory for if he needs any help. They almost had to give him that role because if it was just a DB coach it would have been a lateral move from GB.

More like a senior defensive advisor/Assistant HC role. Someone to help guide Nielsen as a DC.

Kinda crazy Jerry Gray didn't just get a DC role of his own, imo.

He was offered that role and turned it down for this one from what I've heard. So that is what it is.
