I'm just gonna say Smith looked pretty good for Greenbay last night. Hopefully Sweat can give us even more. Actually both Smiths looked good for that Greenbay defense.

The former Raven looked pretty good, but we all know how pass-rushing OLB'ers turn out when they leave the Ravens.  Lets see if he can buck that trend.  And we've got to wait for more than a week.  Trubisky looked so indecisive back there, he took a lot of hits he shouldn't have and a coverage sack or two.

Start hating and give the damn guys their credit. The Packers defense looked just as good as the Bears!

Yes, but on both sides, it was a rocky Week 1 on offense.  Trubisky looked indecisive like I mentioned, and Aaron Rodgers essentially had his pre-season during the first quarter, as the Packers had -12 yards of offense then.

And Ze'Darius Smith has a lot of history working against him.  I despise the Ravens for a multitude of reasons, but their are Linebacker U in the NFL.  It doesn't matter who their DC is, or their LB coach, but their linebackers always have success in Baltimore.  When those LBs leave, they typically get overpaid, and underproduce.  Pernell McPhee, Dannell Ellerbe, Paul Kruger, Bart Scott, Adalius Thomas and Edgerton Hartwell are all players who excelled in the Ravens system, left for big contracts and struggled with the team they signed, all eventually ended up being released before their contracts were up.  Bart Scott could be an exception, as his first two years with the Jets were great, and his issues were caused by himself more than anyone.

There is clearly a pattern here, similar to the old Shanahan/Kubiak offenses in Denver where they consistently churned out running backs who could rush for 1,000 yards on their team, and they would leave and be ineffective in other systems.  Can Smith break the trend above?  Maybe, but history is really against him.

Gotta give Bruce Allen credit for one thing.......however he did it, I don't care, but man, he saved us from the Antonio Brown debacle.  If anything could make the Redskins look worse than they already do, it would be how they would deal with that clown show.

Still doesn't get a pass on his job, but when we say it can get worse, well, Antonio Brown is that definition.
