Ozzy
Brian Flores will be gone in two years max, possibly one if they do well next year. So well spoken and totally deserves a head coaching chance again. "A joy as you watch them play" "Fighting together" "Have joy as they play" Very player centered coach and comes off like he is a great teacher of the game. Improves and gets better himself and will bring that out in his players. There has to be creativity on D, and he seems very willing to try new things since offenses are always changing so should the defenses. Still nuts how this did not happen last year, could have been a totally difference season but glad to get him now. I guess technically he was potentially the HC last year and maybe was still in that space. Is pretty shocking how little evolution there is on defense in general, offense there is always new little things going on and the D still seems pretty standard issue. Hopefully they can find something unique and game changing.
vike daddy
Flores: “I left out of here feeling like there was a shared vision. He’s [O'Connell] aggressive offensively. I’m aggressive defensively. That kind of philosophy was aligned.”

VikeManDan
Booth seems like a prototype Flores CB. Hopefully he can get, and stay, healthy.

Would be huge if two of the three DBs taken last year were fully healthy, let alone all three.

True but who is more proven as a starter, Bynum at safety or Dantzler/Booth/Evans at CB? I would say Bynum but Cine if he is back Bynum is on the bench unless they move him back to corner. Dantzler constantly gets hurt, Booth has as well, Evans at least there is some hope for him to play the full year. Either way no one can play the slot still so that issue has to be addressed. I’m pretty confident the current cb room will not look like it does now heading into the draft. So we have to see what shakes up with free agency. Flores played a lot of dime with his coverages. Bynum makes sense to me in like a eric row big nickel role.
vike daddy
Flores: “I’m big on versatility. Guys being able to play multiple spots. In order to do that, we’ve got to get them coached up to play those multiple spots. We’ll cast a wide net to see what we do best, and we’ll try to highlight the things our players do well.” https://heavy.com/sports/minnesota-vikings/zadarius-smith-house-sale-nfl-news/?fbclid=IwAR0bEwzTF-CYcXx6Ln7X4AjXYrpoX85cm05pv4641zegPBROrBTpwykhfXA
