I am so sorry to have to post this, but everyone on this site has been in my thoughts these last few days and I know he would want me to reach out. Joe passed away very unexpectedly this past Saturday, Feb 4th while driving home from our friends house. I still don't know much about what happened - but what I do know is he had a medical emergency and despite the efforts of the drivers around him and then police, medics, and ER doctors, he was not able to be revived. Whatever happened was very fast, and I am trying to find comfort in that right now while I wait for more answers. Joe was my best friend and the love of my life. These last few days have been like a nightmare, it feels a little like I lost my entire family at once. But, I know that Joe would want me to take all of the love I have for him and give it right back to myself, and the same goes for all of you. I'm mainly posting here today because I need all of you to know how much joy you brought him - Joe was part of this community long before I knew him, and his life here with you all was so special to him. This community made him feel safe enough to change careers, he recently went back to school for tech and coding and was doing such an incredible job, I was so proud of him. I probably won't post here again, because I am sure it's jarring for everyone to see his name pop up. Joe was a really good guy who I had the pleasure of talking to quite a bit.
