stl4life07 Posted February 9, 2023 Share Posted February 9, 2023 I’m not shocked by this. Truth is KD never wanted to be in Brooklyn. When he was a FA he wanted to go to the Knicks but also wanted to play with Kyrie. Kyrie wanted to go to Brooklyn and KD followed. The Nets signed up for Kyrie bc they wanted KD. They got rid of Kyrie so of course KD followed. Plus the Nets owner said he would rather give up KD if it meant to give up on Kyrie than to continue to put up with Kyrie bs. So again I’m not shocked by this. As for what the Nets got for KD I like it all considering. They did him a solid since he wanted to go to the Suns. Don’t keep him in the East and I thought the Nets got a ton of assets to now play with for tomorrow or in the offseason or in future seasons. If they don’t make any more moves this team can be a top 5 team in the East. I trust Marks to continue to find great young players in the draft like he has with Claxton and Cam. Even going back to Allen and LaVert back years ago. So while people are just dismissing those Suns 1st round picks I’m not. Let the Nets build around Claxton, Cam Thomas, Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Dinwiddie. Nets have potential young stars. I think Cam Thomas is a potential young star in a Maxey/SGA vein. I actually don't mind the return for the Nets, if KD wasn't going to be happy then it was time to hit the reset button.
