Having a hard time believing when talks were going on with CGJ, he thought he'd was worth and telling Roseman I want a 12-14M a year, 35-40M type deal. When he turned down Howie's rebuttal offer, Howie rightfully moved on. At no point do I believe CGJ would of played at $10M on a 1 year deal forthe Eagles if that was even offered at any point since? Injury prone Blankenship now a full time starter in place of Epps. New DC. New scheme? Much tougher schedule. Howie drafts like crap- particularly on defense. What could go wrong? Jeezla Posted March 20, 2023 Share Posted March 20, 2023 (edited) Like I was saying, the defense might suck this year. Now, we could still sign Bobby Wagner and fix our gaping MLB hole. We could sign Matt Ioannidis and he could be 85 to 90% of what Hargrave was. We could draft a safety that somehow just gets it right away at a position that rarely has an impact rookie, despite none of these prospects being in the same zip code as a Derwin James or even a Jalen Pitre/Daxton Hill/Brisker. We could draft a DT that does the opposite of Jordan Davis, and plays up to or even better than his draft position. We could trade for a stud player. We could magically get everyone on the same page in year 1 of a new coordinator, right out of the starting gate. I just don't see many, if any of those things actually happening, especially Howie drafting a stud safety or DT.
