I do not know  but with the free agents this year depth will be at a all time low.

Natural consequence of having no $$$ and no picks. I'd love to see your plan for building depth at every position when we have glaring holes at starter positions to fill.

What due you due    ?

I would keep him as a STAR linebacker 99% of the time. But in nickel, the STAR comes off the field entirely and a NCB is inserted. JOK will be playing over guards in our nickel, which is essentially base in the NFL. That's why I have him there...& it's also because I can guarantee you Schwartz wants him there. He's always had small fast ILB's. I personally don't like it. I also hate playing with wide 9's, but it's the scheme Schwartz is going to employ.

I can dig what your saying here....I think we will spend a lot less time in nickle than we did under woods...so I see a lot more 3 LB sets......but Maybe your correct here....

idk...he has fantastic movement skills and has the length at 6'5 to play out there, methinks. It's a projection, but one I think we should consider given we have 3 OT's on the roster and hopefully if we bring back Pocic, 3 C's.

OK I see a LEGITIMATE dependency......his Combine Page has him listed at 6'5 1/2 306....while Wikipedia has him listed at 6'1 306.....which I thought he was, if he has that type of Height and according to his Cobmine Page,....so  solid Movement skills...maybe this is a thing......Like Project X, who's still developing on the Roster 4 seasons later....I just think someone is going to give Pocic a REALLY nice lil deal..and we made our decision which lineman to keep with Conklin? Or do you think there's room for Both?

I would love to bring D'Ernest back. I doubt he goes without offers though. He's a good player.

I agree with you Whole Heartidly here....I feel the same about him and Greedy.....

I have no idea what Pocic is going to get. He's good, but I don't know if he's someone teams will be panicked to lose out on. That said, it just takes 1 team to offer him something crazy.

Greedy is supremely talented. The injury history is absurd, but teams are going to see a talented young corner and toss cash at his feet.

And I’d let them tbh.  He’s simply hurt too often to depend on and we don’t need to pay vet wages for a #4 corner.

Yeah, I'm curious to see what happens with Pocic. I'd like to bring him back, but depends on the money. He's really only had one good year and that was with us, so I wouldn't give him a massive contract. However, if we go with Nick Harris, he'll be a free agent next year so we'd have to pay him soon unless we want to find another new center.

Greedy? I'd be happy to have him back but I'm sure another team will be willing to give him more money. And I wouldn't doubt if Greedy would prefer a change of scenery at this point. If he wants to come back on a one year, team-friendly deal, then I'd be all for it.

I think Pocic is gone. I think he will get a top 10 center contract which is relatively cheap still. 10-12 million per year. Good olinemen are similar to quarterback in that there is not enough of them.

Greedy will get more than we think as well. Corners are hard to come by and he has had some great moments.

What is your thoughts sense you actually saw the games Good Morning Stars GIF by James Koroni

My thing is I think AB will approach FA very lightly this year...I think the Focus will be on Bringing in one Vet, versatile DT and retaining the rest of our FA's earmarked for keeping. I think he's going to play the FA game to garner additional Draft capitol....(Glenn Cook has been getting a LOT of looks the last 2 years for GM duties..thats another 2 3rd round picks)...to make up for the Watson draft capitol.....I think our FA will be focused internal this year.

IF it was were me, all my boarderline players I want to keep (Pocic, Greedy, Taki Taki, Johnson etc) I would tender them at deal levels where the money triggers compensatory picks if exceeded....IF our cap can sustain the bids we offer...of course Prioritize. For example if we deem Pocic as important, but not irreplaceable, then IF we would like to get a 4th round comp pick, structure our offer where we would get that type of compensation.

Only issue I have with this offseason plan is it ends up with Anthony Schwartz still on the roster.

Other than that - well done.

I want to give him one more year....when we drafted him....Everyone knew he was going to take some development time. He was Hurt his rookie year....last year he had some injuries and DROPS....but at the end of the day dude is only 22 years old and dosent turn 23 until after the start of the season. And he still runs 4.24.....and he'll be 2 years Bigger and Stronger.....this is the year for him IMO....

Browns must sign Pocic to solidify O line as both he and Harris can play guard.  Most of free agent money will go to defense as we have 3-4 holes that need players.  I see AB making trade with Cardinals for Hopkins.

There you go again DLB - talking me down off the ledge. My frustration level with Schwartz is high.

However......

If we can get him to the point that he can make 2-3 impact plays a game, that is enough to justify a roster spot.

And you can't coach those kind of quicks. Either God gave them to you or He didn't.

Agree 100% on Pocic. He has the potential to be the cornerstone of the offense. All he needed was a chance in a new uniform. He is showing why he was a 2nd round pick.

If we don't resign him, my feeling is we MUST go after Oluwanti (sp?) the stud C from Michigan.

And I pass on DHop. Wrong side of 30, and would require more resources than we have to give.

There are several C's better than Oluwatimi. This is an elite C draft. He's not bad, but here's how I rank the C's in the class:

1. John Michael Schmitz--Minnesota (77) *Projected 2nd rounder*
2. Jarrett Patterson--Notre Dame (72) *Projected 2nd-3rd rounder*
3. Grant Gibson--NC State (70) *Projected UDFA*
4. Luke Wypler--Ohio State (70) *Projected 2nd-3rd rounder*
5. Ricky Stromberg--Akransas (69) *Projected 5th-6th rounder*
6. Joe Tippmann--Wisconsin (68) *Projected 4th-6th rounder*
7. Olu Oluwatimi--Michigan (68) *Projected 3rd rounder*
8. Steve Avila--TCU (68) *Projected 2nd-3rd rounder*

All of them have starter grades. For my rankings, anyone with a 70+ is a good starter. 80+ would be a top 5 grade.
