2023 Mock Drafts

Really lucked out in that one. Pulled off a pre draft trade for DeAndre Hopkins by switching next year's 2nd Round Pick with the Cardinals 3rd this year, and had Banks still on the board at #22. So I landed a big fish at both our biggest need spots.

Doubled up on WR in the 3rd with Mingo and Dell. I tried to be realistic and Jonathan Mingo is firmly a Day 2 guy now despite being a 4th/5th Round guy in PFF's database currently. He's AJ Brown lite and would give us another inside/outside option with size. Tank Dell was the highest ranked guy left over and I felt if we were going to take Calvin Austin in the 4th last year there's probably a decent shot we'd like Dell in the 3rd this year.

Jon Gaines is another guy currently undervalued by PFF's database, his stock has risen considerably since the combine and he would be a solid add to our IOL room in the 4th.

Tomlinson and Jakorian Bennett were athletic options at CB and I felt comfortable taking them there. Tomlinson profiles as a nickel but played outside at TCU, he's crazy quick and physically competitive beyond his smaller stature. Jakorian is a burner who can specialize in matching up with speed options like Averett did for us and he brings STs value as well.

Took Stetson Bennett because of the obvious Monken connection and our need to get a cheap option in there.

How do you post the picture of the actual draft and not the link?

I reuploaded it to an image host site. It's definitely annoying they don't just give an easy to embed image URL, instead you get some Base64 BS.

There must be an easier way to embed the image though, for someone code savvy enough there's probably a quick solution.

Basically traded away Chuck and Queen to clear up cap space and get some mid round draft capital. I agree with@DreamKid that it would be preferable to trade away a future draft pick for Hopkins vs one from this year. Basically tried to shore up on CB talent with the assumption we don't re-sign Peters, then added some edge depth and a big bodied WR in AT Perry. And Antonio Mafi should worst case provide some depth at guard and best case some competition for the open starting position. This is all under the assumption we manage to re-sign Lamar.
