Tink Hence is expected to sign today as well.

We've only gone about 20k overslot for our deals so far.  Tink Hence and Ian Beddel have a combined $1.55M bonus slot values, and we have 375k in order to sign those two before we have to forfeit draft picks.

1(21) - 3B Jordan Walker - $2,900,000 ($3,132,300)
2(54) - SS/RHP Masyn Wynn - $2,100,000 ($1,338,500)
2(63) - RHP Tink Hence - Unsigned ($1,076,300)
2(70) - 1B Alec Burleson - $700,000 ($906,800)
3(93) - RHP Levi Prater - $575,000 ($627,900)
4(122) - RHP Ian Beddel - Unsigned ($469,000)
5(152) - OF LJ Jones - $100,000 ($350,000)

Updated.  Right now, we've got $19,800 over the bonus pool right now EXCLUDING the 5% overage we're allowed.  According to Rob Rains, we should hear about Tink Hence today, which should give us an idea of how much we're paying Ian Beddel.  Imagine that the draft class gets signed by mid-week next week.

So, with the DH now in play for this year it seems like the most obvious candidate for the role would be Matt Carpenter? That would allow any everyday spot to open for Tommy Edman and him being the superior defensive player of the two as well. This would also allow Brad Miller to slide into that super utility role...

LF- O'Neill / Carlson

CF- Bader / Thomas

RF - Fowler

3B - Edman

SS- DeJong

2B- Wong

1B - Goldy

C - Molina

With Ian Bedell agreeing to his 800k signing bonus, the Cardinals have officially wrapped up their draft class with $44,225 to spare.  I think it's fairly safe to say that they'll be part of the 60-man roster who will be allowed to participate this year.

It'll be Carpenter so long as he's hitting.  Then you'll get your occasional day off for Goldy and Molina.  The IF is pretty much set with Goldy at 1B, Wong at 2B, DeJong at SS, and Edman at 3B.  You'll have Harrison Bader in CF and Dexter Fowler in one of the cOF spots.  Depending on how they want to manipulate Dylan Carlson's service time, he's going to probably get the majority of the ABs in the other cOF spot.  And Tyler O'Neill will keep his spot warm until then.
