The STL Cardinals Thread - New Season, Same Old Cardinals?

I trust no one in the BP that isn't named Reyes, Cabrera or Gallegos.

We desperately need another starter or two. Would allow us to move Gant back into the BP and help solidify that bridge. Also need another LHP out of the BP. It's a crime Tyler Webb continues to get opportunities in meaningful spots.

Ever since TON changed his grip with the bat, he is putting the ball in play much more and with even more authority.

He's been stellar since coming off the IL. Hope he keeps it up because the way he's playing right now is the potential we had all hoped for. He's been one of the best OF's across the board the last 3-4 weeks.

Cardinals placed RHP Jack Flaherty on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.

Flaherty suffered the injury while batting in the top of the sixth inning Monday night against the Dodgers, after tallying nine strikeouts over five frames. Cardinals manager Mike Shildt noted to reporters Tuesday that "it's not a minimal situation ... it's a real strain, tear" and that the 25-year-old ace is going to be out "a while."

This is what all the DH-deniers get for your foolishness

Other then baseball purists, I think majority of baseball fans are ready for the DH to be in the NL too.

Yea I know, I wasnt really talking to anyone specifically. Just time to make the move, its mostly negative outcomes when a pitcher picks up a bat

Our pitching staff is rough. We need so much help. We were precarious before all the injuries.

We just gotta tread water these next 2-4 weeks. The injuries are debilitating and not much we're gonna be able to do until the deadline (without paying a ransom).

It sucks, but if we can stay a couple games above .500 we'll be primed to make a run down the stretch, which is when you want it.

This team sucks. Even at full strength, they couldn’t beat a team worth a damn. The offense is a flat out joke and there’s no excuse for it. Fire Jeff Albert or something. Don’t keep doing the same stuff over and over or Shildt can see his way out the door as well. Still don’t think he ever deserved it anyway.
