2023: $24.2M cap hit, $24.2M dead.

2024: $14.7M cap hit, $14.4M dead.

2025: 16M cap hit, $7.2M dead.

2026: $16.9M void.

2027: $18.3M void.

2028: $21M void.

I wonder what this extension does with those numbers.

That’s not the updated deal. And that’s also not what his current contract looks like, I don’t know why OTC doesn’t update their formatting. Makes it very confusing. Not sure why they don’t indicate the void years.

Article I read says that the cap hit for 2023 is lowered by almost $10M (expected).

Yes, that is the old deal, and I am not sure what you mean that is not what his current contract looks like.

OTC puts these into the contract where they are going to be earned.  spotrac lists them at the bottom.  But Lane will be on the 2023 and 2024 roster, so OTC includes them.
