    • Neither will start, we’ll draft a RB who will beat them both out. Name the RB you think we’ll draft.

I’ve been thinking and you have to assume that Bieniemy’s offense will be like Andy Reid’s offense more so than what we’ve seen with Rivera controlling a lot of what Scott Turner was doing on offense after the first month of seasons when us passing more than rushing the ball wasn’t translating to victories.

That brings me to Bieniemy and what kind of RBs the Chiefs have always had under Andy Reid & before that in Philly too. Reid & Bieniemy have had running backs that resemble more of what Gibson & McKissic are/do than what BRob does as their starting RBs.

So, I think this offseason is a real chance for Gibson to gain his job back as our starting RB bc not only will we run it more to his style of outside zone and off tackle but also Reid/Bieniemy’s offenses have always used the Passing game to the RBs as an extension of the run game & almost really as their running game. So, obviously that’s Gibson’s territory more than BRob’s.

I see Gibson going back to being the starting RB and having a season similar to what he had in 2021:

Rushing: 275 carries, 1100 yds, 10 TDs

Receiving: 70 recs, 650 yds, 4 TDs

BRob will be a short yardage back and get carries to give Gibby a rest, so like 10 carries a game like what Gibby got this last year.

Rushing: 175, 700 yds, 4 TDs

Receiving: 20 recs, 150 yds, 2 TDs

I know @lavar703 will never agree with this but, I’m wondering what others think?

Considering the Chiefs the last 3 years have had a grand total of 1950 rushing yards, 1955 yards and 1800 yards, it probably is pretty optimistic to think we will surpass it (assuming the rest of the team like Howell, RB3, Samuel, etc get more than 150 yards rushing).

The chiefs haven't had running backs lately like we have & Howell and Samuel will both probably contribute several hundred yards as well.

I could see Howell winding up with 500 rushing yards & 5 TDs. While Samuel throws in 150 yards off of jet sweeps.
