Wasn’t Rapp good? A bit surprised he’s still available for a reasonable amount.

Of the two Safeties the Rams lost this year he definitely was the worse of the two.

He's a JAG that looked better cause the Rams defense was stacked on their SB run imo.

He was for a bit. I remember a lot of hype his first year or his first year as a starter or whatever.

But I never quite saw it because Shanny picked on him relentlessly it felt like. I've seen him blow multiple huge coverages against the 49ers and it kind of soured my opinion on him.

In the right role, he's a solid player. Needs to stay in the box. Great agility, very good tackler (especially in space), and has some versatility in coverage. If you take him out of the box, he starts to become a liability. Completely inept as a center-fielder and pretty meh as a split safety.

Lol the worst safety we had the last 5-7 years. Good luck to him, he was unreal as a rookie. Regressed in coverage the last 3 years. Sure tackler and smart. Limited physically. Maybe he goes from being our worst to best as our best tuners to worst. Has a ton of experience and has a high IQ. Struggled with coverage a lot here though, could have been due to Jalen.

Had some bright moments but was largely used out of position at least in us fans opinions. He's more a box safety and was rarely used that way. The bad tape far outweighs the good but I think that was to misuse. The Bills do love them some former Rams though don't they.

I have to wonder if Buffalo uses him in special packages where he can stay in the box and as a the first depth piece behind Hyde. Good signing, regardless. Beane seems hell-a-bent on keeping the 3rd round compensatory pick in 2024, so I'm assuming this is a cheap deal.

Rapp was a stud in college as both a coverage player & a tackler. I haven't really watched him with the Rams, but when he was in college, they kept his assignments extremely simple. On most snaps, he was either a pure FS or a pure roll-down nickel LB. He was great in both roles. Surprisingly great in coverage as a college player given his build and athletic traits.
