Nabbs4u
Upgrade, camp body 🤷♂️. Guess we'll see.
EagleBlueDon
I mean just being honest, the more I'm reading around, the more I like this signing. Haven't seen anybody, besides on this board of course, call him a camp body. Seems to be expected to be in the rotation.

I think the idea is to use him as a pass rushing DT and that he can help replace some of Hargraves' sack production. Obviously, he isn't a world-beater and isn't going to just replace Hargraves outright but if he can put up 3.5+ sacks and a solid amount of pressures as a rotational DT for us then I'll take that. I still expect them to draft a DT pretty early on.
Ozzy
Pretty solid signing that is for sure, the Edmunds signing seems like a mistake but this could make up for it. Curious if they still go DL in the 1st round or not. I have them go OL all the way with that first 1st rounder they have, then later curious if they go edge or not. Maybe go Kancey but now with Street not sure they do that and might go with Keion White or Myles Murphy unless Murphy works out well athletically. He'll be a solid part of the rotation. I hope we draft a DT early, I just don't know who because there really aren't any to draft early besides the obvious guys. I've read just about every Steelers writer article (Behind The Steel Curtain, Steelers Depot, etc), as well as just about every comment in the comment sections. I'd say approximately 85-90% of the comments and articles combined have been something along the lines of: "Solid, underrated, steady, dirty work, versatile, progressing player who could be harder to replace than we think and I wish they could've brought him back, especially for that price". I've watched a few Steelers youtuber reaction videos too who share these same sentiments. Edited March 31, 2023 by EagleBlueDon

Yeah I guess the Steelers just signed Keanu Neal, I have never really liked him so yes I would take Edmunds over him and between the two Neal is not as good as Edmunds is at all. Still I say Taylor Rapp is a better fit for the Eagles and could do great on the Bills at a need position.

I saw we brought in Neal for a visit and was happy we didn't sign him. I put a lot of stock Into what fans and writers say about players who depart their team. They could easily crap on them since they're gone or say he wasn't that good anyways, especially an unspectacular player like Edmunds. But the strong majority think he's a solid player even still after he's gone.

Any fanbase is going to call a 6-1 220 safety that ran a 4.47 40 with a 41.5" vertical good, that is very promising a player that big being that fast and he still has promise in his career to improve. But honestly not sure he has the awareness for the position or the coverage ability, we will see.

And they think he's a solid player.
