notthatbluestuff
Which much-ballyhooed college mind proved more disappointing when they took the coaching leap to the pros? Dr A W Niloc
Needless to say Nick Saban was an infinitely bigger disappointment than either.
NJerseypaint
It has to be Matt right? Kliff could at least consistently pull in half a season of wins before the wheels would fall off. Rhule seemed like he couldn't get anything to go at all. I know Kliff had Kyler but he went out and got him, Matt tried to play boy-genius with Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield in the QB room and rightly got burned.
Soko
Rhule, easily. Was a better college coach and performed at the lower level of the two.
fluhartz
Kingsbury was 35-40 as a college coach.. Did anyone even expect much from him?
JaguarCrazy2832
Did Rhule even get a fair shot with an average QB? Kliff drafted his guy the moment he got there. I honestly cant remember any QBs with any sort of pedigree in Carolina that werent retreads
Mox
Kliff had zero hype. He was hired straight off of being fired in college and thought to be a terrible hire. That alone makes it Matt.
BroncoBruin
Don’t think many people really believed in Kliff. But there was a lot of weird hype around Rhule going to the NFL. Never really understood it but it was there.
MSURacerDT55
Kliff did the least with the most
Danger
Rhule. Kingsburry was a questionable hire from the start IMO.

ClutchDJ
Kliff took over a worse team while having no hype whatsoever. He at least made the playoffs once. It’s Rhule easily. With the hype he had, Rhule might have been the most disappointing hire in the past 6+ years Edited April 8, 2023 by ClutchDJ

Kliff Kinsburry knew how to make QBs look productive, but his defenses were often then not mediocre and his record was sub-.500 while at Tech. DawgX
Easily Rhule. He had higher expectations while Kingsbury was viewed as a questionable hire from the start. And at least Kingsbury made the playoffs once while Rhule's Panthers were bad every year.
