rlon
Which of the following duos,in terms of closely related positions, do you think it’s more likely that the Steelers draft:CB and S, LB and OLB, OT and OC, OR NT and 3-4 DE? And, to follow up, two of which even more specific drafting positions is most likely to occur (i.e. 2 corners, 2 ILBs, other, etc.)?

Theyve done a decent amount of homework on mid and late round edges.
Steeler Hitman
I would probably guess the following in terms of likelihood: 1. ILB and Edge. 2. IOL & OT 3. 5 Tech DE and NG 4. CB and Safety

I think its easily the highest in terms of chances. 2 at the lowest.
Ward4HOF
They seem adamant about checking out IOL and OTs, especially with visits, so I'd say that's the most likely. Especially if Weidl has a large influence on selctions, being the Asst GM; that's just what he does...he builds from the trenches. I don't see 2 DL they'll select in the first 2 picks, however, If they went something like Johnson/Jones at OT, and Bresee or Mazi in the 2nd Rd. That said, it there is one position I could see them drafting 2 of, it would CB...a Slot CB, and a Field/Boundary CB. Now, all of that said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them grab a CB at 17 or 32, then pick up Ringo at 49 or 80, depending how much his stock has dropped. Then you have determine whether their long term plan for Ringo is at Corner or Safety.
3rivers
based on current or next years needs, CB should be high on their list and get legit playmakers / Ball Hawks like Forbes and Phillips (slot) . Not sure if Safety will be looked at early though, but we will see. Actual NT though, gets maybe 20% snaps while DT gets more. Ringo -> Hole in TV . Lots of good corners, no need for project players or players you try to find a position for since they don't suit existing positions Porter -> Hole in TV . will get too many penalties and not versatile for zones. rlon
I think 2 DBs, be it 2 CBs or one of each at CB and S, now presents as clearly the most likely. I’d love OT and OC or NT and 3-4 DE, though.
3rivers
Baldinger was saying that they should fix the OL once and for all and get 2 OL early. Maybe this could be (some trades here as well) 31. Dawand Jones OT Ohio State 32. John Michael Schmitz OC Minnesota 40. DJ Turner CB Michigan 49. Will McDonald IV EDGE Iowa State 82. Darius Rush CB South Carolina 95. Daiyan Henley LB Washington State 120. Bryce Ford-Wheaton WR West Virginia 160. Nick Herbig EDGE Wisconsin 209. Keondre Coburn DT Texas 241. Tommy DeVito QB Illinois and then we have the colbert mock, with no trades mock 17. Darnell Wright OT Tennessee 32. DJ Turner CB Michigan 49. Clark Phillips III CB Utah 80. Ricky Stromberg OC Arkansas 120. Zach Harrison EDGE Ohio State 234. Elijah Higgins WR Stanford 241. Tommy DeVito QB Illinois
