Why not, let's give this a go with combine and the major free agency moves in the book.

Rules:

There are two polls - your first choice will count as 2pts, your second as 1pt. If players have the same score after 24 hours, the pick will go to the player with the most first place votes.

I will take poll options from the website below, which aggregates all media big boards - so if your guy isn't on the board, don't blame me.

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=ALL

Your vote can be who you would take, or who you think the team will take - it doesn't matter.

I went with Adetomiwa Adebawore as 1st option and Steve Avila as the 2nd. I could easily have gone Avila as the 1st as I think Cam Jurgens is likely to slide into the center position when Jason Kelce retires, opening up a hole at guard. Avila brings some interior positional flexibility, so if they decide to keep Jurgens at guard, Avila has potential at center.

Gonna be weird when all the teams trade down in the draft and nobody comes up

Pick #31 is where Brett Veach ticks off Clark Hunt by trading out of round 1 in the draft held in Kansas City....to a team looking to select Hendon Hooker!

I had the same thoughts but went Mazi 1 and Avila 2.

That's why I always say "trade down if you can" because not everyone wants to trade up.  It happens, but not nearly as much as fans think their team will do it.

It's still good theater.

I would be totally up for that. The 50-75 range is stacked with talent. Adding an extra pick or two is all good.

Absolutely. Short of one of the top fit prospects being available at #31 (ex. Myles Murphy or Darnell Wright), I would definitely prefer trading down into the top to upper middle of round 2 for another 3rd round pick. That would give us additional ammo to trade up from the bottom of round 2 or 3 if there is a target prospect available.

One obvious way is to trade #31 and #95 to Detroit for #48 and #55 for, say, Hendon Hooker.

I just did a mock based on this trade and came out with two Edge and an OT--Hall, Foskey, Bergeron. That's a solid day #2.
