Why not, let's give this a go with combine and the major free agency moves in the book.

Rules:

There are two polls - your first choice will count as 2pts, your second as 1pt. If players have the same score after 24 hours, the pick will go to the player with the most first place votes.

I will take poll options from the website below, which aggregates all media big boards - so if your guy isn't on the board, don't blame me.

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=ALL

Your vote can be who you would take, or who you think the team will take - it doesn't matter.

1. Carolina Panthers - C.J. Stroud | QB | Ohio State

2. Houston Texans - Bryce Young | QB | Alabama

3. Arizona Cardinals - Will Anderson | EDGE | Alabama

4. Indianapolis Colts - Anthony Richardson | QB | Florida

Went Harrison and Jones. I really wish a better DL was available. Despite what they’ve said, I could see them keeping Taylor at RT if a quality LT option is available.

I really think the pick will be DL though.

I think Mazi Smitj is the guy here if we don’t go Harrison

Personally I'd rather go DL than OL, but based on who is left here, I think Harrison is the best pick. Harrison plus Taylor in some combination would be an excellent OT duo.

Went with Mazi Smith as my second choice. We re-signed Derrick Nnadi, but I don't think anyone is particularly happy about him seeing a ton of snaps as the 1 technique next to Jones. That's a spot we really need to improve, and it's a tough thing to find.

A couple of notes on Chiefs draft trends for the uninitiated:

Spags absolutely has a type at DE. He loves length. You almost have to be 6'3" with 33" arms or longer. Mike Danna has kind of been the one exception of late, but he's used a little unconventionally and was like a 5th round pick. This, to me, likely rules out Ojulari. He also normally seems to avoid the really small edge guys. Looks for guys 260+ at least. This has been a little less consistent, but might reduce the odds of FAU.

For Veach, he loves to go young in the early rounds. Like, barely 21 on draft day. Basically any of our higher draft picks the last few years have met this. I would be shocked to see someone like Keion White for this reason. Even like, Cedric Tillman in the second would be pushing it, IMO.

And then we do like drafting in advance, kind of patching holes before they become bad holes. But we tend to do this in the mid rounds. Humphrey, Gay, Bolton, Moore, Cook, were all kind of drafted to replace someone who had one year left on roster. First round we definitely go for guys to start right away, so I could see DB, LB, even G or TE, in the middle rounds, but not in the first. Would be surprised if it isn't DL/OT/WR in the first. With WR being less likely than the others.

Not really liking how the board fell but went Mazi first, I like his movement skills for how big he is and I think it'd be fun having him next to CJ.

Went Harrison 2nd, just seems too obvious though. Kind of a stubby dude but a good athlete with tons of experience.

Weird, dude lives in the backfield and is an immovable object in the run game. Him on the frontline with Jones-Omenihu-Karlaftis is a super athletic front too

Lives in the backfield with his collegiate career combined 6 TFL and 0.5 sacks. That's not 1st round production.

Anton Harrison is the first choice for me. Hopefully he can hold down the starting LT position and allow Taylor to stay at RT...asking your two tackles to switch from their familiar side is risky. I think Harrison is a much better LT than RT.

Second choice is Felix Anudike-Uzomah.

Did the same. I almost went with DL for the same reason the Eagles did, the Chiefs have a history of drafting solid lineman later and if you don't draft DL here, its slim pickings real fast. The reason I went for OL though is that they have made it an organizational imperative to give Mahomes solid Olines so I lean there.
