Hypothetical Draft question for all you draft guru's.

I'd give up 15 and 45 for Will Anderson. Before the racing accident, I'd have put Jalen Carter in that mix as well.

The Packers are in a retool mode and it would be crazy to burn 3 premium picks on any player. Not to mention there is probably little difference between the first 13 picks in this draft.

Nope.  None.  We have too many holes to fill.  Anderson and Wilson (EDGE) are tempting, though.

I like the value in the 1st half of the 2nd round better than in the 1st half of the 1st round. I wouldn't be trading up from 13 at all.

I feel like this draft has like 4 super high end talents.  Anderson, Wilson, Gonzalez, Witherspoon.  Then there is one that might be just a slight tick below generational, Robinson.

Odds are we will have two of them available to us when we pick.  Too bad I feel it will be CB or RB where we already have good talent on the roster.

Are Wilson, Gonzalez and Witherspoon's talents greater than Adetomiwa Adebawore? I feel like this kid is just so raw. His upside might be as much or more than any of them in the draft. He can play EDGE and slide inside and wreak havoc.

Of the 12 picks before us, at least 2, probably 3 and possibly 4 will be a QB.  None of them seem so great that I'd want to trade up for them - give Love his chance.

Anderson will be gone within the top 10 picks.  If he were to slide to the #8-10 range, I could see moving up for him, but I don't think it would be smart to move up higher just because of the cost of doing so.

Most mocks have 2 CB going before pick #13 - Witherspoon and Gonzalez.  Not as sold on the latter so I wouldn't trade up for him, but wouldn't be totally opposed to moving up a few spots for Witherspoon.  Similar to how I feel about Anderson, but I'd want to give up less - no more than #78 in value.

Jalen Carter.  The talent is there and we seem to be trying to reconstruct as much of the Georgia defense as possible.  I just don't know enough about the character issues.  Should we take him at #13 if he slides?  Should we move up 1-5 picks if he's still on the board then?  I can't say.  I don't see any other DL in the top 13 discussion.

OL - There are a few candidates here:  Paris Johnson, Skoronski, Wright and Jones.  1-4 of them will probably go in the top 12, at least one of them should be there at #13.  I don't think any are so much better than the others that I'd move up for them.

RB - Robinson.  I'd say it's about 60:40 that he goes in the top 12.  I wouldn't move up for him since we already have Jones and Dillon, but he might be hard to pass on at #13.  I could also see a team trading up with us if he's on the board at #13.

TE - No.  

WR - 3 possible players to go top 12:  JSN, Johnston and Flowers.  It's likely that one is gone in the top 12, but at least one should be there at #13 and possibly all 3.  I wouldn't trade up for any of them.

Edge - Wilson, Murphy, Jones and Van Ness seem the most likely that have a chance to go top 13.  Of those, only Wilson seems like a lock and also the only one that might merit a trade up.  But I wouldn't trade up for him.  

So...  the only players that I'd be looking to trade up for would be Anderson (no more than pick #45 in value) and Witherspoon (no more than pick #78 in value).  I'd add Carter if the team is comfortable with the character issues - having 3 former defensive teammates should give them enough insight.
