R Kenny Stills, 5th, #144 - Great deep threat for us, eventually got traded because Brees didn't like him. Rumors are he was coming to practice/games drunk and hungover.

Where did you read this at?  Because all I can find is Stills responding to the author of an article that reported this and basically called him a liar.

Id don’t remember... like I said, it rumored at the time, likely by more than one person with twitter and all that

I won't do 2017, too early but all signs point to a great draft.

2016: 5/5 still with team.

2015: 4/9 still with the team

2014: 0/6 still with the team

2013: 2/5 still with the team

Why am I not surprised you didn't mention the 2012 draft ;)

Huh?

My bad. It's been a long day at work for me.

I didn't read the part about you not listing 2017 yet, so when I only saw 4 drafts rated I figured 2012 was the one missing. Now if memory serves that was a pretty poor draft for you guys (I mean Hicks is good but he's no longer on the team). Hence my unfounded comment.

I don’t think it was worse than 2014. Considering our first pick was in the 3rd in 2012 there were never high hopes for that one.

Took a break and read this thread. Don't have time now to do the Bills (And probably would be crying by the time I finished anyway), but one thing is certain: Based on the opinions of others and the fact that many don't see the field, I have absolutely no idea how to pick a DB! Nearly all the names I recall wanting, are out of the league or simply stink! At least I've done well with the D-linemen. Sheesh!

2013:

1. Kenny Vaccaro - SS - Hit - Great in the box safety, nickel corner, and even linebacker, struggles on deep coverage.

3. Terron Armstead - LT - Hit - Beast when healthy

3. John Jenkins - NT - Bust

5. Kenny Stills - WR - Hit - pretty good deep threat

6. Rufus Johnson - Bust

2014:

1. Brandin Cooks - WR - Hit - good WR

2. Stanley Jean Baptiste - So bad

4. Kharri Fort - Bust

5. Vinnie Sunseri - S - meh - had the makings of a good special teams player

5. Ronald Powell - DE - Bust

6. Tavon Rooks - LT - Bust - Shouldn't have gotten drafted

2015:

1. Andrus Peat - LG - Hit -  can play almost any position and is a bulldozer in the run game and above average in pass proection

2. Stephone Anthony - LB - Bust - why couldn't we have taken Eric Kendricks or Mckinley?

2. Hau'oli Kikaha - DE - meh - good rotation guy if/when healthy

3. Garrett Grayson - QB - Bust

3. PJ Williams - CB - Hit - not amazing but good depth for a #3 corner.

5. Davis Tull - DE - Bust

5. Tyeler Davison - NT - Hit - impossible to move off the line, very under rated, would be a stud 0-tech for a 3-4 team.

5. Damian Swann - CB - Bust - showed potential but got a concussion every other game

7. Marcus Murphy - RB/KR - Bust - lots of potential as a return guy until he developed fumbleitis.

2016.:

1. Sheldon Rankins - DT - Hit - Solid all around DT vs the run and pass

2. Michael Thomas - WR - Hit

2. Vonn Bell - S - Hit - Solid nickel safety

4. David Onyemata - DT - Hit - basically exactly the same as Rankins

7. Daniel Lascoe - RB - meh - amazing special teams players, thats about it

2017:

1. Marshon Lattimore - CB - GOAT

1. Ryan Ramcyzk - RT - Hit - playing great, looks like a top 8 RT this year

2. Marcus Williams - FS - Hit - One of the biggest reasons the Saints D has improved and why you don't see half as many deep shots vs the Saints secondary anymore.

3. Alvin Kamara - RB - GOAT

3. Alex Anzalone - LB - meh - showed great potential and athleticism before he got hurt, the game was just clicking for him, but, he's always injured...

3. Trey Hendrickson - DE - hit - before getting hurt showed a good bit of promise creating pressure from the DE spot, and from the 3-tech in the nickel. Tested athletically similiar to myles garrett at the combine.

6. Al Muhammad - DE - meh - Was our best defensive player in the pre-season looking like a demon off the edge, don't know if I have seen him get a snap in a regular season game.

How good is your team at drafting? Look at the last 5 drafts 2013-2017 and label every pkayer a success or a bust. I'm interested to see how each team compares to one another. I realize the last couple drafts several players might be too early to tell but make a judgement based on what you've seen so far.

Here is my analysis of the Eagles

2013

1- Lane Johnson T- Success (An All Pro RT candidate)

2- Zach Ertz TE- Success (perhaps a top 3 TE this year)

3- Bennie Logan- Sucess DT (good run stuffing DT who left in FA)

4- Matt Barkley QB- BUST (last seen being cut by the) 49ers

5- Earl Wolff S- BUST (out of the leagure i think)

7- Joe Kruger DE- BUST

7- Jordan Poyer DB- Success (never played for Eagles but still starting in Buffalo i think)

7- David King DE- BUST- (is he still bouncing around the league?)

2014

1- Marcus Smith DE BUST-  (playing ok in rotation in Seattle but still a bust)

2- Jordan Matthews WR- BUST (an ok WR but not as good as advertised)

3- Josh Huff WR- BUST (Chip Kelly sucks)

4- Jaylen Watkins S- Success (still around and is decent depth)

5- Taylor Hart DE- BUST  (Chip Kelly sucks)

5- Ed Reynolds S - BUST (hung around but ultimately did nothing)

7- Beau Allen DT- Success- (by far best player of this class. Very good rotational DT will be starting somewhere next year)

2015

1- Nelson Agholor WR- Success  (looks like he's turned the corner)

2- Eric Rowe CB- BUST  (hopefully the pick we got from NE will be better than him)

3- Jordan Hicks LB- Success  (injury prone but excellent when healthy)

6- JaCorey Sheppard- BUST

6- Randall Evans CB- BUST

7- Brian Mihalick DT- BUST

2016

1- Carson Wentz QB- Success  (M.V.P!!)

3- Issac Seumalo G- BUST  (looked good last year looked awful before getting benched this year. Hopefully can turn around)

5- Wendell Smallwood- BUST  (showed flashes but #5 RB right now)

5- Halapouvivaati Vitai T- Success  (looking good at LT after Peters went down)

6- Blake Countess S- BUST

7- Jalen Mills CB- Success  (actually turning into a good player)

7- Alex McAllister DE- BUST

7- Joe Walker LB- Success  (decent depth player and ST guy not embarrassing himself while starting for Hicks)

2017

1- Derek Barnett DE- Success  (looking really good; darkhorse DROY candidate)

2- Sidney Jones CB- Can't evaulate hasnt played. I have high hopes

3- Rasul Douglas CB- Success  (i really like what ive seen so far)

4- Mack Hollins WR- Success  (looks like he can play)

4- Donnell Pumphrey RB- BUST  (i dont see it in him)

5- Seldon Gibson WR-BUST  (made the team but never active awful in preseason)

5- Nate Gerry LB- BUST  (not a ton of info)

7- Elijiah Qualls DT- Success  (looks like a good depth DT)

16 Successes

20 Busts

1 Can't Evaluate

How does your team look?

Only complaint from me is you calling Vitai a success. He's not good at all Wentz just masked that flaw more than anything.

1st rnd. – DT Sharrif Floyd Bust due to Injury

1st rnd. – CB Xavier Rhodes Success

1st rnd. – WR Cordarrelle Patterson Success

4th rnd. – LB Gerald Hodges Bust

5th rnd. – P Jeff Locke Success

6th rnd. – G Jeff Baca Bust

7th rnd. – LB Michael Mauti Bust

7th rnd. – G Travis Bond Bust

7th rnd. – DT Everett Dawkins Bust

1st Round - LB Anthony Barr Success
1st Round - QB Teddy Bridgewater TBD
3rd Round - DE Scott Crichton Bust
3rd Round - RB Jerick McKinnon Success
5th Round - OL David Yankey Bust all the way down
6th Round - CB Antone Exum
6th Round - CB Kendall James
7th Round - DT Shamar Stephen
7th Round - LB Brandon Watts
7th Round - CB Jabari Price

Round 1, Pick 11: CB Trae Waynes Success, I guess
Round 2, Pick 13: LB Eric Kendricks Success
Round 3, Pick 24: DE Danielle Hunter Success
Round 4, Pick 11: OL T.J. Clemmings lmao
Round 5, Pick 7: TE Mycol Pruitt Bust
Round 5, Pick 10: WR Stefon Diggs Success
Round 6, Pick 9: OL Tyrus Thompson Bust all the way down
Round 6, Pick 17: DL B.J. Dubose
Round 7, Pick 11: OL Austin Shepherd

That's all I feel comfortable evaluating at this point, but pretty good, all things considered.

How is Patterson considered a success for a first round wr? Is it just because he's not out of the league? If so Gerald Hodge shouldn't be a bust.

I think you are undervaluing him. He's had rough stretches for sure but have also had good ones. He certainly is more sucessful than your average 5th rounder.

Chiefs....

Starter/Role player

Average/TBD

Bust

2013

  • Eric Fisher – Better than he gets credit for. He greatly improved on his first couple of years

  • Travis Kelce – One of the top TE

  • Knile Davis – Not a good RB, but really good ST player

  • Nico Johnson – Not good for us. In Cincinnati now I think

  • Sanders Comimings – Bust

  • Eric Kush – Bust for us

  • Braden Wilson – Bust. But we also traded for Anthony Sherman this year iirc

  • Mike Catapano – Was a fan favorite for a year and was eventually let go

2014

  • Dee Ford – Has the potential and has shown flashes. But he can’t stay healthy

  • Philip Gaines – Doesn’t deserve comment and there isn’t a red red enough to shown my disdain

  • De’Anthony Thomas – Bit of a bust as a WR but shows flashes. Good ST player

  • Aaron Murray – Bust

  • Zach Fulton – Great depth imo and currently starting Center with Morse on IR

  • Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff – Improved each year and is starting RG

2015

  • Marcus Peters – Great player but a little immature at times

  • Mitch Morse – Great player. Starting C until he was put on IR this week.

  • Chris Conley – Great roleplayer so far. I think he could put up better stats with a better QB

  • Steven Nelson – Had a bad game or two this year but overall pretty good #2 or #3 CB

  • Ramik Wilson – Good, not great. Not sure why he’s been inactive lately

  • DJ Alexander – Not the best LB. But great at ST. Traded him this year though.

  • James O’Shaughnessy – Showed a few flashes then we traded him

  • Rakeem Nunez-Roches – Very underrated DE

  • Da’Ron Brown – Bust

2016

  • Chris Jones – A little inconsistent this year. But overall great pick

  • KeiVarae Russell – Bust for us

  • Parker Ehinger – Started at LG his rookie year then got hurt. He’s been inactive ever since getting healthy for some reason… I’ll still put him as green for now based on his rookie year and potential that he showed

  • Eric Murray – He’s been up and down.

  • Demarcus Robinson – Looked real good with Mahomes in the preseason. Less so with Alex throwing it.

  • Kevin Hogan – Bust for us

  • Tyreek Hill – Amazing

  • DJ White – Bust after a decent start. But, when your first two plays in the league are an INT and TFL, it's hard to go up.

  • Dadi Nicolas – Was looking real good then had a bad injury. I believe we recently took him off IR but he’s not active yet.

2017

  • Patrick Mahomes II – Looked great in the preseason and its hard to imagine that he’ll be worse than Smith. I’m going with optimism and marking him as green (I definitely knocked on wood while highlighting that)

  • Tanoh Kpassagnon – He’s finally getting playing time and is looking decent. While it’s early, I’d mark him as a success at this point. If Ford wasn’t hurt, he’d likely still be on the bench. I want to go green and I think he’ll be there in a year or two. But he’s still pretty raw.

  • Kareem Hunt – Great pick

  • Jehu Chesson – Good on ST. Hasn’t had much, if any playing time at WR. Going green for ST play

  • Ukeme Eligwe – Good on ST. Hasn’t really played LB yet. Going green for ST play

  • Leon McQuay – He just got called up from the practice squad this week. TBD

Overall John Dorsey and staff did a pretty good job. IIRC, in 2013, I believe he was using the old regimes scouting department.  18 Starters/Role players, 8 average/TBD, 12 bust.
