Stalking Rodgers

The corpse of Tonyan after the surgery was horrible. Someone had to catch balls but that doesn't make them good players. Last year we clearly had a bottom 5 pass catching group in the league with some promising young players that were raw and obviously going to take a few years to learn the NFL game. Horrible management when it's an all in year. The team lacked vision for years and neglected the pass catching position for far too long while wasting 2nd rounders on guys like Dillon.

Ted layed out the blueprint with a talented 2nd WR rounder every few years to keep the position a high priority while letting ones asking for too much walk. Gute went with his 3rd round approach for pass catchers and whiffed hard for years. Let's hope he finally gets it now.

the idea that defense creates dynasties may be true to a extent, but to do so at the expense of keeping a good stable of offensive skill position players is bound to haunt a team eventually, that we where able to do as well as we did for Lafleurs first 3 seasons is a testament to a pretty dang good OL, our RB's, Adams, Rodgers, and the innovation of Matt Lafleur, simply having another top tier WR could have been all we needed to over come our terrible ST's and mediocre play of our defense.

Aaron still loves him some Bill

His advise to Jordan should be....It doesn't need to look pretty, but just find a way to win. With all the stats that I've been able to build up over the years, it means nothing if you don't have the rings.

Rodgers got stale

Happens to everyone really if they stay in the same place/job for too long.

The Rodgers trade should be one of the few genuine win-win-win trades.

We needed a fresh start.  Rodgers definitely needed a fresh start and Jets owed it to themselves to give it a go instead of wondering what if.

But I mean seriously 47 pages of whining about one of our best ever players who had a pretty clean and relatively classy exit (despite what people want to think), seems to have been a great mentor to Love and has left us with some nice picks to start to reload.

Maybe time to let it go, wish him well (relatively speaking given there is a pick position at stake) and be a bit more mature about it all.

He was TE13 in receptions and TE19 in yards. While that's not optimal, it's far from "worst in the league".

Would be interesting to see players RAS scores a few years down the line.  Particularly after serious injuries.

Tonyan was pretty dynamic and fast as a young player but to the eye anyway seemed a shadow of himself as an athlete. Would love to know what his RAS would come out as after the injury.

Annual pro RAS scores would be an incredibly valuable dataset

To the GM's not the players, which is why the union will never allow it. It would also distract from becoming a better football player rather than preparing for the underwear Olympics every year.

I wasn’t the only one to pound the drum that Rodgers would disappoint in the postseason.

What we didn’t anticipate is that his tendency to hold onto the ball would knock him out minutes into the regular season.

In retrospect I shouldn’t be surprised
