The main rub is years, Cowboys want to own Dal for 6 years - could be the rest of his career - Dak wants to be able to get a new contract at 30 years old in 4 years. I hope they keep him forever-- I think he's their Kirk Cousins . Good but not good enough in the crunch to win a Super Bowl. Falters at the wrong time . I think they don’t want him to be a FA again in 4 years and if he continues to play well his contract will be worth even more than this one. Good to great contracts for players don’t get cheaper every year, they get more expensive, at 30 years old and coming off 4 more good years he’s going to be looking at a huge deal while he’s still in his prime.
