Popular Post mse326
I agree. If they didn't lose they definitely would have won
vegas492
He would have multiple rings and more SB appearances if it weren't for the complete and utter dominance of the Cowboys back then. That was a SUPER team. GB's team was quite good, but that was an enormous hurdle to get over. By the time GB actually did? They became an aged team, moreso on defense. Steelersfan43
Yeah, the competition in the NFC was huge in the 1990s....I also think if Mike Holmgren would have stayed longer with the Packers, Favre would have been much better in the 2000s especially in the playoffs. The NFC were wide open for much of the 2000s

I agree with Favre when Holmgren left, he was not the same QB but I was talking about peak Brett Favre...Young has an argument, but Favre had much less talent in offense around him in his peak Favre still had 5 streak season with 30 or more TD pass which was crazy in the 1990s, especially without a true elite weapon after Sharpe retired

What’s “many” to you? Brady Rodgers Mahomes Manning Brees Montana Marino Young we’re all better at least on the “level” of 90’s favre

It didn't help things that almost every cotton pickin' game was in Dallas back then.
WheatieMan
They got dominated in that SB, for whatever reason. It was close at the end, but it really should have been a landslide in their favor, much like the Cam Newton Panthers versus Peyton Broncos. Did they ever lead in that game? I think they tied it at 24-24, and that was that. They got robbed in 98’, but they still would have had to best Minnesota, no? I doubt they’d have won it in 98’.
