Pugger
How about a discussion concerning players your favorite franchise gave up on and/or traded who thrived elsewhere? One that comes to mind for GB is Casey Hayward. We let him walk and he played very well for the Bills.

MWil23
Austin Corbett has become an average to above average OG after sucking in Cleveland. Thankfully simultaneously the Bills gave up on Wyatt Teller at OG and threw him into a deal at almost exactly the same time.
Steelersfan43
The first who comes in mind for the steelers is Mike Vrabel
BetterCallSaul
For the Browns…we had Raheem Mostert rotting on our practice squad for years. We didn’t really need him, but it was kinda surprising he was that much of an afterthought. The Browns are too bad at drafting for their players to have success elsewhere after flopping for them. ThatJerkDave
Does Bryce Paup count for the Packers? He was very good, then went to the Bills and was really, really good. He made 3 straight Pro Bowls and won DPOY. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PaupBr00.htm More recent examples are: Casey Hayward, Micah Hyde, Lawrence Guy, Jamaal Williams, and even Damarious Randall was probably better as a Brown that he was as a Packer. We were also the QB factory for a while: Mark Brunell, Aaron Brooks, Matt Hasselbeck, Ty Detmer, Don Majkowski, Kurt Warner, all went on to start after being on the Packers. Even Matt Flynn and Doug Peterson are in on the action. And finally, the Holmgren from SF exodus created a ton of HCs. Or does that count as Bill Walsh/San Francisco? AkronsWitness
K'waun Williams. Didnt do much of anything in Cleveland then has become one of the better nickel CBs for the past 5 years with the 49ers/Broncos Edited July 19, 2023 by AkronsWitness
Daniel
Jack Doyle. Signed with the Titans as an UDFA, balled out in training camp, but they cut him because they drafted Taylor Thompson the year before in the fifth ******* round and didn't want to keep four TEs. He went on to play for the Colts for nine years, and was a pretty productive TE. 2700 yards and 24 TDs. Taylor Thompson was cut two years later after a career total of 83 yards. NJerseypaint
Danny Woodhead for the Jets is the one that I can recently recall. And depending how you see this questions, I'd say Leonard Williams. He was productive on the Jets but really broke out on the Giants, likely because he and everyone on those Todd Bowles teams ended up phoning it in at the latter half of the season. Soko
Chandler Jones immediately came to mind. 36 sacks in 4 years, almost elite athlete, smart, strong run defender. For one reason or another, he’d slow down later in the season and his impact was mitigated. Didn’t show up in the playoffs. Wanted a huge deal, NE only got a second. Went on to have 71.5 sacks in 6 years in Arizona (including a “season” where he got hurt early and only had one sack), with a couple All-Pros in there. Definitely took it up a notch as a Cardinal. FrantikRam
The Rams seem to take players who other teams gave up on and have them perform well, but once they leave....not so much. Austin Corbett is the full circle of this

He made the pro bowl his final season. But then he exploded for the Bills. It was also right around the time that we made Reggie the highest paid defender ever.
