cconocool
I know from experience that usually doesn't bode well for the departed team. Hurts is a great talent, but does that override the coaching changes?
minutemancl
I don't think Gannon was a great DC, if I'm being honest. Their personnel on that side of the ball is still very good, if not a little old in spots, so the main problems this year will come from learning a new system and communication. The move from Gannon to Desai is probably a push. I do however think Steichen was a great OC. Great play designer, play caller, everything. I think that will be a big loss for them and you will see at least a slower start from their offense to begin the season. We've seen promotions made for the sake of consistency go wrong many times. I don't know enough about Brian Johnson to say if he's going to be a worthy successor or not. Overall, their personnel is enough to mostly overcome these changes, but I think we see a dip in offensive production from them AT LEAST to start the year.
JaguarCrazy2832
I mean its not ideal. Their defense was elite from a sack/pressure perspective and their offense was incredible when Hurts was healthy but they are still incredibly talented
Nnivolcm
I think picking up Patricia hurts more than losing either coordinator.
Soko
They’re talented enough that they’ll probably be fine, but safe to assume there will be regression. Really impossible to predict exactly how much, I couldn’t even guess. Edited July 31, 2023 by Soko
Steelersfan43
On offense, this is a concern since I think their OC last year was very good for the eagles. On defense,I think they will be fine,Gannon was not a great DC
FrantikRam
Feels like Super Bowl teams are crapshoots the following season....I remember everyone thinking the 2018 Eagles would be even better getting back all those injured players. You just never know
