Geeze, they are banking on a 12+win season for the jets with a promotion like that

I think its a good business move. It will result in the place getting packed

"All fans have to do is open a tab 15 minutes before kick-off and watch the entire game on the bar’s 200-inch TVs.

However, there are a few hitches. The bar said Rodgers must be starting in the game and customers must be there for the entire game. Also, if the team does lose, food or top shelf liquor is not included in the deal."

I'm rooting for him. He was in an awful situation in Green Bay, some of it his fault, no doubt, but I really want to him to succeed there.

I think they are a pretty safe playoff bet, maybe more.

An awful situation in Green Bay? He had an elite OL and elite WRs for pretty much his entire career here. We had some unfortunate events that killed some of our super bowl window:

The Nick Collins career ending injury in 2011 killed our defense right as a potential dynasty was being formed. He was arguably the most important person on a defense that included Prime Clay Matthews, Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams and Sam Shields.

2013 career ending injury to Jermichael Finley who was on his way to being one of the top TEs in the league.

Bakh tearing his knee in 2020 right before the playoffs. The Bucs front 7 killed us that year in the playoffs and Bakh missed all of 2021 where Niners killed our OL in the playoffs. If Bakh doesn't tear his knee, we would've won atleast 1 Super Bowl in that time.

2022 season was the result of going all from 2019-2021 and eventually you have to pay the piper.

Even with some unfortunate events, Rodgers constantly crumbled in the playoffs. If you're the highest paid QB, you're expected to elevate the team around you and time and time again he folded.

Jets are a hard team to figure out, personally.

They truly are the Washington Commanders of the AFC.

The exceptions? Their QB is sanscypt old. Commanders have an infant baby.

Even the Division is equal in difficulty.

Bills=Eagles

Dolphins=Cowboys

Jets=Commanders

Patriots=Giants

Both teams absolutely loaded with talent.

Not confident in either coach getting it done, but wouldn't be surprised if both did get it done.

So my opinion rides with exactly what I would say about Washington.

If Rodgers(Howell) can stay healthy? If their O-line (Washington's) can hold up.

If their Defense (Washington's) can play the way their expected too. Create turnovers with their playmakers like Sauce Gardner & others.(Kendall Fuller & rookie Forbes)

They will be tough to beat.

Rodgers has a career 100 QB rating with 45 TD 13 INTs in the playoffs. Seems like he did his job, the Packers defense consistently wasn't that good during his career.

Why you don't judge games of box scores. Packers defense is responsible for a lot of playoff losses but Rodgers has not performed like a top QB in many of our playoff losses(SF 21, TB 20, SEA 2014, NYG 2011, etc)

Those elite WRs that after leaving GB turned into average Joes?!

Yeah, no doubt Rogers made a ton of careers.

The fact you're blaming one of the best QBs of all time, and definitely one of the best playoff QBs, for some of those losses.... nice narrative!

Green Bay doesn't re-sign players to 3rd contracts unless they're HoF bound. Jennings, Jordy, Cobb and Jones were past their prime when they left. Davante is still elite.

Rodgers is one of the best playoff QBs when he's playing the Cowboys. He has been subpar for his expectations otherwise.

If you ask any Packers fan nobody will deny he was a great QB for us and put up eye popping numbers season after season.  However, I don't know if I'd call him one of the best playoff QBs.  For example, in 2020 GB was the top seed and lost even after Brady threw 3 INTs.  Rodgers didn't get the job done.  In 2021 with GB getting the top seed again he didn't play well in that playoff game against SF.   I recall a lot of folks here have wondered why a QB of his caliber came up short time after time in the post season.  In GB he had multiple chances to get to the SB since 2010 but never made it back with us.  Perhaps he will be rejuvenated in NJ.
